hallo penspinners. i been training for backfall for a while now. I have problems to make the passes go smooth.. any tips?

Same problem here, but I'm getting better. What I do is after the pen has gone around 1 I quickly bring 1 down and raise 2 up and quickly do the second bak and so on. I find neo- bak much harder as the pen can easily fly off my hand.

hmmm i can get the bak, first pass, and the mid bak, but cant ringbak for crap... :angry:

For me, I can't do pinkybak constantly.

it's just pretty much practice practice practice. nothing you can really do differently (unless you're doing it completely wrong) to make it better. plus, i don't see why everyone and their mothers want to learn bakfall so early on...get smooth and decent before bakfall :dunno:

I can only get it up to middle finger...i'm still working on ring and pinky.
Yes i think practice is everything.

Hardest linkage is midbak > pass > ringbak, i now working on it

Word! My beginning is smooth but when it comes to the ringbak i just drop or lagg :banghead:

Omg so true. I can do bakfall but use to always pause there. However with endless practice I am now able to get a smooth pass 1/2 times.

yes the vid errior made want really clear..so anyone wanna help me with a slowmo or just tell how to do a middle back

I'd make a vid, but I don't have a camera. I'll try to explain how it works:

Practice is most of it, but there are some things you can do to help.

#1 Before trying a bak fall, guide the pen with the other hand so you can get a feel for what it's like.

#2 Don't just keep trying a bak fall over and over again. Practice each bak first at least getting three in arow with each finger before trying to connect them.

#3 Don't over do it. Practice hard for a few minutes, take a break and watch a vid of the combo. Then try it again as stated above.

whats the problem to not learn bakfall early? and who said im newbie?.. btw i almost got it smooth now.. a bit laggy with last pass to pinky around.

Best advice besides from pratcing

USE A DOUBLE CAPPED PEN

preferably with large enough caps (eg commsa or bictory) in poportion to the barrel.

This helps the positioning of the pen after each bak.

Trust me on this one

(bak fall with mx is much much harder than bak fall with metallic bictory/commsa)

srry if this is spam, but bakfall is bak to fl pass over and over again right?
so do u finish the bakaround with the fl pass or wat?

there hasn't been a for sure breakdown for bakfall, but most ppl do
bak > pass 12-23 > midbak > pass 23-34 > ringbak > pinkybak

after you finish the ringbak, position the pen for pinkybak then do it
