How many people are good with this pen? The only one I know of is Aysh. I've been trying to spin with them, but the COG is off xD. It is fun though :P
Anyway, are there any other videos of Aysh/other people spinning Dr.Grips, beides the JapEn 1st?

I know that tokuwee15 uses a Dr. Grip, but on this site:
http://www4.pf-x.net/~sunrise/pen/ "1,2,3,1-SpreadQuadruple(Storm)-1508KB" is done with a Dr. Grip

Well, if the COG is the problem, get a Dr. Grip Center of gravity, the title says it all!!!!

I have a question. How many does Dr.Grip cost in Japan?
InhumanElmo - January 18, 2007 12:01 PM (GMT)
I use a doctor grip (not for spinning in presentations but yea). Its an OK pen when u get used to it. The COG is ok but Its not as heavy or as long as the normal Dr.Grip.

HAHA, It's like they made them just for spinners.
In japan I think they're like 650 yen x.x;;

hey guys,
since the search engine doesn't work I don't know if this was already asked:
what are the pros and cons of an unmodded Dr. Grip?
EDIT: sry for bumping.
InhumanElmo - February 5, 2007 12:07 AM (GMT)
Pros:
No modding required
Easy to find
Cons:
Expensive
Not as long as other mods
Middle (Depends on your style):
Weight is a bit heavy
Kind of a thick barrel
Elky - February 5, 2007 12:33 AM (GMT)
Also, the weight is closer to the tip, and the grip makes it kinda hard to do shadows (for me at least)
Crzyazn - February 5, 2007 12:46 AM (GMT)
I find it kinda short and stubby. but the momentum is amazing cuz of its immense weight

I LOVE my desk dr.grips...
SPins so nice...
Without the clip to get in the way,it's a really great pen...
U just gotta get use to it...Takes some time before ur able to do ur cont. bak and stuff like that on it...The shape is awkward but once u used to it it's really a shape u can appreciate B)
PenMod-Erator - February 5, 2007 11:23 PM (GMT)
Yeah, i spin with my friend's Dr. Grip. I 'm too cheap to buy my own. Also, i spin a Pentel Client, which weighs a whopping 31 grams.

Is there a difference between a dr. grip and a dr. grip gel? Spinning wise and modding wise (it sort of looks like the tip doesn't come off on a dr. grip gel..? I've never made a kt so I'm not sure how it really works)?
Eburt - February 6, 2007 12:11 AM (GMT)
Yes there is a difference, I'm not positive what it is though. As for modding if the pen appears the same it likely is. Writing, I'd guess the gel one is a gel pen... Dr. KT is usually made with the Dr. Grip Shaker (Also known as Desk Grip) which is only available in Japan. Its a mechanical pencil, hence the pointy ends...

There is not much of a difference besides the ink, there is a ballpoint Dr. Grip and a Gel ink too. I actually prefer The normal Dr. Grip instead of the Dr. Grip COG because the COG on the normal one is further back.
spin~TAP - February 6, 2007 10:52 PM (GMT)
The Doctor Grip COG uses a different ink tube also. Normal Doctor Grips use the same ink tubes as G2's so i use them to get ink down. The grip and length of Doctor Grip COG makes it very hard for around tricks IMO because the grip almost is too sticky where as a metal body just slides around your hand. I dunno, I prefer mods overall.

You can buy Shaker Dr.Grips in america.. I used to have one, until I traded it for the Dr.Grip I have right now.
