New position available, read belowSince sketching is leaving, I am opening one or more positions for moderating, meaning I am not picking out a set number of moderators from the available candidates, I am considering all candidates and if you're deemed good enough, you will be one. There is no limit to the number of admitted moderators, just as there can be none if every candidate fails to pass.
The role of the moderators picked will be mostly one of patrolling the board, reading every single post, detecting every infraction, and warning every offender, and then clean up the posts. If several moderators are selected, it will be possible to split the load by assigning different sections to each moderator so you don't have to check everything.
You are not expected to know how to manipulate posts, give warnings, etc... You will learn that after you become mod, although experience and knowledge of being moderator on a InvisionFree board is a bonus.
Therefore, you will be judged mostly on your personnality and commitment. You must show:
-Leadership, actively contribuating to the board.
-Maturity, a decent level of English is required to properly communicate.
-Commitment, must check the board every day, and make the effort to read every post and deal with every infraction.
-Sense of judgment, must be able to determine what constitutes an infraction and follow the rules.
-Respect, must be fairly well known in the community, respect and is respected by the community.
-Intermediate Pen spinning knowledge, must understand most PS terminology (does not mean necessarily that you are a good spinner)
-Teamwork, must be able to work in a team of moderators to coordinate the efforts effectively.
The selection process is heavily subjective meaning if I don't know you at all or I see that you are not an established member of the community, you will not be selected.
If you want to apply send a PM entitled "Moderator Application: ***" where *** is your name and add the following information:
Real name:

Q1: Why did you apply for this position?
Q2: How can you contribute to this board?
Q3: What have you achieved in your time here in UCPSB so far?
Q4: Someone creates a new topic about "Give me a thumbaround tutorial" and double-post a message writing "bump, plz". You can include in your warning message references to any thread on this board.

Make sure your PM has the correct title or I won't read it.
Good luck.
EDIT: There might be several rounds of selection, depending on the number of replies. If you don't receive a response 2 weeks after your application, consider yourself rejected.
