Ok, today, I was writing with one of my Zebra F-301 pens. A little after that, it started to skip on the ink meaning that it was fixing to run out of ink. After that, I was fixing to throw it in the trash. But, right before I did, I remembered I had another old F-301 pen lying around my comp desk somewhere, so I started to think of a way I can mod it. Then it came to me, why don’t I put both of the pens together to make one really cool looking mod. And that’s how I can up with the idea of this tutorial.Length: 19.5cm
Weight: Will tell you tomorrow when I get up…A little late right now here.
Difficulty making: really difficult to get the center pieces on without screwing them up and also lengthily.
COP=COGOk, here is how you make the pen:
Items needed:
2x Zebra F-301 pen

And something that is skinny enough to link the 2 grip parts together later in the tutorial. I used a Sanford Uni-bal Gel Impact Ink Refill with some tape wrapped around it to grip to the grip partSteps:
1. Ok, first, take the whole pen apart and lay them out.
2. Then, measure the grip part of the pen without anything connected to it (the part that the barrel and the tip screws on to). It should be about 4.4cm long. From there, take something and cut both of the grips in half. After that is done, file both all parts down to the same length. For mine, I filed all of them down to 2cm to make it even.
3. Next, on the barrels, you will need to remove the clip and the part the clip is connected to. Here, I just used some needle nose pliers to grip the other end of the barrel (make sure that it is not on the plastic on the inside as it is connected to that part to) and just used something with a skinny flat end and hit it a couple times and it came out. Do that to both of the barrels.
(Optional. Read down to the last step in the parentheses to see if you want to do this.)
4. Next, measure from the end without the clip on it about 4.9cm. It should end up at this grove in the plastic, which is where you are going to cut. When you do, you can throw the clip part away and save the longer part as the clip part is not needed. Do this to both of the plastic things that come out of the barrel. (Before doing this part, read the whole tutorial because you might not want to add this part in to the mod)
5. Finally, find something that can hold the 2 half grips that screw onto the barrels together. Like I said, I used a ink refill with tape wrapped around it. The length of it should be the length of the 2 grip halves stuck together. You don’t have to cut this part til you have got the grips on later in the tutorial.
This is what you should get after all of that:

Finally, it is time to put the pen together.
1. First, we are going to start with the center piece of the mod which is the 2 grip parts in the picture above that does not have the caps on them. Shove the grips onto what ever you found to use. If you have done it right, this is what it should look like:

While putting them on, if it is difficult to put them on, try and find something else to use that is thinner. Because, as you can see, I broke the threads off of the left side getting mine together.
2. Next, the grip parts that the caps go on, you want to file them down to where they fit in the backs of the barrels. When filing, watch what you are doing to make sure that you do not file them to low. To make sure you don’t do that, every now and then when filing, stop and see if it fits in the end of the barrels. If it does, but is a little tight, file it a little more.
3. In this step, we are going to put the filed down grips with the caps in the back of the barrels. To do so, shove them in. For me, it was difficult, so I stood the barrel of the pen up on a solid flat surface and hit gently on the tip with a hammer to get it to go down into the barrel. After you are done, this is what it is suppose to look like for both barrels:

(I had put the clicker parts into the barrel as it looked cool and they slipped in perfectly)
4. Here, we are going to put the pen together. To do so, just push the pieces up onto the center part of the pen. If it is loose, you can either put tape on the center piece that is being pushed up on to make it tight or do what I did. Took the needle nose pliers and stuck half of it in the barrel and squeezed to flatten the barrels end. I did this 4 times in a circle to make it like a square. Here is a picture to help you visualize what I am talking about:

With that done, shove both of the barrels onto the center piece. You can either make the colors match with the center piece or you can put them on the other way and make them miss matched. (If you want to make it heaver, you can add in the part that we took out of the barrel and shaved down. For me, I couldn’t use that part because I had the capped pieces pushed to far in the barrel, leaving a gap in the center after I screwed them back on. So, this part is just optional.)
When you are finished it should look like this:
If you want to do some modding to it yourself, you can add some grips to the ends to make it heavier and also cover up the colored part if you don’t like it.
P.S. Also, as you can see mine had a little screw ups on the center part. the next mod I make of this one, if I do make another, I will take more time to make it look more neater.
Hope yall like this. If you have any questions, post them up here and ill answer them as fast as i can.EDIT* Sooner or later, probably tomorrow, im going to make a new mod to where you can actually put the ink back in the pen if you want to actually write with it.

looks heavy...
and why american comssa? i think the whole reason the rushon was called a japanese comssa since it was as easy to mod as a normal comssa...
this has about as much of a right to be called a comssa as a rsvp vortex.

I dont know. But if you read the description of this, it says Title can be changed, so the title can be changed to whatever sounds good.
And about the wieght, its not that heavy at all to my amasement. Im going to add something into both sides of it though to make it heaver since im used to a heaver pen.

Actually, if you would of made the mod, you woulda seen that its not that weak. Unless you completely screw up on the cencer part and break something more off besdes the threads, its as strong as a couple of my other mods...

I said it looks weak. It like trying some mods with the pen but unfortunately i can't get it in germany.

Well I see a couple of problems with this mod. For one it is expensive. Those pens aren't cheap. 2, it really doesn't look great. 3, It is too long for my taste: it would attract some stares because of lenth alone. The middle connection looks weak. I mean this pen may spin well as you say, but from an aesthetic and economic standpoint, it doesn't make sense. If it looked better, as in more professional then it would be something worth the money. Great Idea, but it could use some work.

No offence, but i agree with Inhuman Elmo
