Anybody know is something like a backaround 3.0/4.0 or a shadow 3.0/4.0 has been done before..or can be done? Been trying to spin the pen hard enough to make that many rotations, but 2 is my max

Anyways, i was thinking of a trick that would need that many rotations...

Keep practicing... First 2.0... Then 2.5... Then 3.0... Etc.

Heh, yea, but the middle finger pushing agains the thumb is quite powerful. I'm unsure if the backaround motion or the shadow motion can generate that many spins (shadow probably more likely than backaround).

4.0 o.O its definitely possible, just keep working on the power + balance, but i wouldn't work on that too much per day :rolleyes: seems like a waste of time

As long as top spin tricks exist, there's no limit in #of rotation.

Sunrise did 15.5 thumbspin before, and i've done 5.5 Shadow Still before. I'm pretty sure it's possible.

From the looks of it, the 7.5 bak is just a tilt of the hand. If you do a korean back you can flick your wrist and 'throw' the pen around your index finger . But I guess it can't be done using a weissan backaround o.O.

Nah, you can flick a weissian. (lol... that sounds really weird)

You know, since the weissan backaround spins so horizontal, you can acutally get more spins by starting with a powerful fake reverse, then transferring it to a backaround.

Well, that was mroe theorectically speaking, and my weissan baks are not good enough for an example.

But in my experience with other tricks, and some basic physics, I'm pretty sure its true.

The faked reverse can help build up power before the hand motion.

But if you would like to see the combo, (its called rev to bak) its on david weis's website...i think its pencilninja.com.
