After seeing tutorials for alot of other retractable mods that either I didn't have the pens for or didn't have the tools for, I decided to try and think up a mod by myself. I can't even be sure if this mod was already created, if it was please tell me. XD Anyway, here is the result -
(In comparison to my AMMX)RSVP Atlantis
Pens needed:
x1 RSVP
x1 Bic Atlantis
Tools needed:
All I used was a fake Swiss Army knife, for the blade and nail filer.
Using power tools instead would make it much easier to complete.
Pros:
only needs 2 pens to make
very sturdy
balanced
makes no noise when spun
transition from RSVP body to Atlantis body section is smooth
Cons:
lightweight (it's a con to me at least)
takes a long time to widen the Atlantis body with just a knife, patience needed
as Spinnie mentioned, it's not exactly pretty. XD
Ok, step by step.
1) Screw the back part of the Atlantis pen off, and take the ink and spring out. You won't need the ink, you can toss it out now if you'd like. Put the body aside for now, and take the ink out of the RSVP pen. Throw out the back cap of the RSVP, and you won't need the regular cap either.

The back of the modded pen, clicky part removed.
1.5) Don't mind the font, it's for something else.
2) Start by filing off the grooves on the back of the RSVP, where the back cap is supposed to go.
3) Back to the Bic Atlantis body. with the clicker removed, cut 1.8 cm of the body off
4) The most tedious step! You need to widen the inside of the Atlantis body section enough so that the back of the RSVP (which you filed down) fits snugly into it; that's alot of plastic, to me. If it doesn't fit perfectly after you cut the body (if it's loose at all), you always have the option to super glue it on.

The top ink tube is the one from my RSVP Atlantis obviously, the bottom is a regular one straight from an RSVP.
5) Place a few layers of tape around the ink tube 5.6 cm from the tip of the tube. Let the Bic Atlantis spring rest against the tape for now, so you don't lose it.
6) You see how I cut off a bit of the ink tube at the back? That's a bit of a tricky part, since it can't be too short or too long. Cut a TINY section off of the back of the ink tube, and assemble the pen. (ink+spring into the RSVP body, and screw the clicker on.
6.5) If it doesnt click down all the way, just cut another tiny section off of the ink tube and try again. If it's too loose however, you cut too much off, and you'll have to grab another ink tube and go back to step 5.

And you're done! I hope you all enjoy it. :spin:
