Title: New Angles

strat1227 - March 4, 2007 07:59 PM (GMT)
This here is a thread where you can display your new angles, share your old ones, and comment on angles.

SUGGESTIONS

It is suggested that you do the following in your video/post:

-Display a variety of tricks within the video, things like palm down tricks, infinities, thumbarounds, etc.

-In your post, write how the lighting in your video was produced

-If it is not obvious, how this angle is produced, then explain how it was achieved (eg. sitting down with cam on table, lamp, handheld, etc)

any good?

MikeN - March 4, 2007 08:03 PM (GMT)
I like it.
Now film the bottom of your hand.

OmegEn - March 4, 2007 08:09 PM (GMT)
I like it and it shows tricks well.
But every now and then most of the pen goes out of the camera's range.
Try backing it up a little bit.

Zombo - March 4, 2007 08:46 PM (GMT)
why is it rotated. It gives me a headache.

Sathon - March 4, 2007 09:39 PM (GMT)
Nice.
Problem with that kind of angle though (directly above your hand) is that sonic type of tricks like Sonic Rise Harmonic would be hard to see. But if you do TA Harmonic and Eriror type of tricks that's gonna look cool.

UnEmploymentDude - March 4, 2007 10:19 PM (GMT)
like sath said, just do a lot of top tricks with that angle.

blackhero - March 4, 2007 10:25 PM (GMT)
turn the camera 180 degrees thats my favorite angle..

Do you mean 90, so its streightened out? Or do you actually mean 180 so its the exact same, just on the other side?

lefty101 - March 5, 2007 06:24 PM (GMT)
I like it
it is better then previous angles.

spin~TAP - March 5, 2007 08:05 PM (GMT)

im trying out a new angle also so ima put it here instead of create a new thread. its also a 1p2h attempt it sucks <_<

Toast - March 6, 2007 02:45 AM (GMT)
You should try to get the camera to the other side of the table. It is on your right side right now, try to it to the left.

this is sort of in the wrong section, so i'll move it for you.

Also, i am stickying this thread as a place where spinners can post their new angles, sharing old ones etc.

What do you guys think of this angle?
this is just some random angle.

faulk - March 13, 2007 11:28 PM (GMT)
That angle looks nice, but it feels like the hand could go out of the screen very easily, so back it up a bit. Plus I never really liked the look of a head on shot, imo. So i would say film the hand form a more side looking view :P..

lefty101 - March 13, 2007 11:51 PM (GMT)
How about these then!

http://media.putfile.com/Tests-72

there are two clips on this vid.
tell me if the first or second is better.

faulk - March 14, 2007 12:45 AM (GMT)
I like the second one better.

Except your hand looks like it's going off the screen again, but that's no biggy...

lefty101 - March 14, 2007 07:29 PM (GMT)
yeah^^^^
if i do a vid i would move my hand further back.

Asian Tim - March 17, 2007 07:35 PM (GMT)
well.

I never liked any of the angles in my videos.

But this one is pretty sweet. I kinda like it.

Feedback is always welcome.

Eriror - June 7, 2007 07:33 PM (GMT)
I heard that people were getting bored of my angle...

Is this one any better?

:vcool:

PS, I got rid of the shaking.

ShortAssassin - June 7, 2007 07:35 PM (GMT)
Hmm, I like the old one better :)

Rorix - June 7, 2007 07:59 PM (GMT)
I like the new one better :)

Eburt - June 7, 2007 08:56 PM (GMT)
old... btw, did you hang it from the ceilling?

Zombo - June 7, 2007 09:30 PM (GMT)
that's too "straight", you need an angle to make it more dynamic.

ShortAssassin - June 18, 2007 07:45 PM (GMT)

Not a new angle for me but new lighting and background. Thanks Eriror and Asian Tim for your help.

Edit: The combo isn't anything special, just a mini combo for testing purposes.

ShortAssassin - July 18, 2007 05:04 AM (GMT)
Testing a new angle to hopefully get a better palmside view. Please comment.

http://media.putfile.com/Angle4

Edit: The tricks are just for perspective, I wasn't going for a combo or anything lol.

Onyx-o7 - July 18, 2007 05:22 AM (GMT)
Nice angle. Do you have your lamp on? If you dont, it's better if you have it on.

PenSpinner - August 17, 2007 08:42 PM (GMT)
Which is the best angle for me?
quali sucks but only i had not much light atm

1st
http://youtube.com/watch?v=mPe9OR4VaU8

2nd
http://youtube.com/watch?v=zLvZ9mD0WE0

3rd

cyshing - September 13, 2007 01:42 PM (GMT)
2nd, IMO.

Actually, it depend on what trick or what kind of combo you are spinning. Like the combo above, i think 2nd is better. BTW, this thread is for new angle isn't? you seems like asking what angle suitable for you but not new angle(?)
