Title: Jetpens.
merajj - March 6, 2007 09:54 PM (GMT)
Before I go writing emails to them about pen spinning and how we all want them to carry more pens for us to buy, has anyone tried this already ? Should we start a petition of sorts to show our support, and perhaps list order #'s to show the owners that many people have ordered to specificly buy spinning pens ? I don't know enough about PDS or the other companies that they would have to go through but does it seem feasible for them to supply us with a wider selection of pens ?
Discuss ideas on how to approach the matter here, please keep discussion on topic.

Wasn't someone here going to start a store or is that not going to happen anymore?
merajj - March 6, 2007 09:59 PM (GMT)
I'm not aware of it, but I think attempting to work with jetpens to fufil our request would be much more reasonable.

You let them know what you want by signing up with the forums and using the request threads that are already available. Jetpens staff know that people go there for pen spinning-specific pens, that's why there is a pen spinning category in the first place for their pens.
There's no need to flood them with emails, they watch the forums closely and make available what they can get a hold of.

I think that may work, let us do some editing though, don't just send them a rough letter. They'd trash it in a heart beat. We should all sort of work together on the letter and put forth our own editing until it seems right and then send it from all of UCPSB to tell them of our proposal.
Remind them that:
-Huge extra profits potential
-Faster spread of knowledge of jetpens
-Larger area of users
-Overall better success
EDIT: sketching is right, it is probably not necessary.

Liek sketching said,
make a request on the forums.
In a previous thread, Jetpens said that if a product is requested twice, it will be entered in a poll at the end of the month. The top two winner of the poll would be ordered and put on sale.
The PlayColor2 won last month's poll, and should be on sale sometime soon.

Yeah i thought there was going to be a store for this as well..
penspinstore.com I think.

That's what it links you to for penspinstore.com
Just look up at Ebay. They have tons of stuff. Plus, be patient!

Not really at eBay, actually. I've looked a lot, but for example now, its just stuff like fishing reels if you search.

i think it would be neat if we could set up our own ebay store, to where we can put stuff in in, and bid as well. and with an ebay store, it is harder to cheat people than by using PMs.
zepiroth76 - March 9, 2007 01:01 AM (GMT)
Ebay has a legal contract when someone bids. Basically, if you bid, you have to pay if you win.
Although, I'm guessing penspinning ebay would be expensive. However...maybe we could name it "PenBay" if it actually went through.

He means a store account on eBay most probably.

It would be really awesome if someone with money and spare time could set up a "UCPSB Penspin store", like the PDS store but more pwning and cheaper

They were in Germany I think and the plan fell through because the taxes for owning and running a buisness were outrageous.
