Title: Recycling Vids

Well, some people recycle their old vids and use them for new collabs or videos or whatever. I'm torn between laziness and my determination. You see, when it comes to music albums, it bugs the hell out of me when artists reuse their old songs and put them on their new albums. A LOT of them do that. So I made a resolve that I would never do the same. However, I'm beginning to wonder if I should start using my old vids for my SV. It's 50/50 for me at this point. :dunno:
Pros of recycling:
-not as much work
-you get to use your tournament videos and feature them in an actual "official" collab or SV
Pros of not recycling:
-a more unique feel, without the feeling of deja vu
-the combos seen are known to be newer
So I'm torn between the pros of each method.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

for a member showcase, you can re-use old videos. Becuase it's like a "best-of", with a few extra original tracks.

That's true. I suppose hardly anyone collects tons upon tons of PS videos like many others do for music albums. I don't know about you but I tend to delete older albums if there's a Best Of album that contains most of the songs. Even more so if there's 2 Best Of albums with all of the songs of previous albums.

I film in long spurts of like 10-20minutes of record time so out of that I get usually 10 awesome combos that are kind of similar with minicombos and such. So they might seem like the same combo sometimes but they are not. I put those in a file with the date on it and whenever I use those combos in a battle or collab I will move that combo to the USED COMBOS folder never to be used again, just to be enjoyed and looked back on.
I think recycling combos is really stupid, like using one combo in several things but, using a combo you made a while ago but haven't posted yet I think is fine because some people can only record at certain times.
I really didn't like it when Banz recycled his awesome video for the World Tournment. He should of spent time making another awesome video, BECAUSE it is the fricken world tournment!

Hmm... I am the type to delete stuff I don't use. So when I record, it also lasts for about 20-30 minutes. However, all of them are the same exact combo. I plan out a combo and then I keep going at it until I succeed. Once I extract that successful combo, I'll keep that and delete the bloopers.
That's why, in my PS videos folder, the only videos I have of myself are ALL in collabs and tournys.
Interesting idea though, fitz.
EDIT: Well, there ARE videos of me that aren't in collabs and tournys. They're just miscellaneous videos that friends asked me to do. So I film them, upload them to Putfile, then delete them from my drive. =/

I try not to recycle videos, but the main problem with it is that I usually have 1 style at a time, and the videos would look a lot like each other whenever I make a solo-video in 1 day or so [which happened about 3/4 times, now]. But then again, I have a whole bunch of videos I have never used [1000+]. That though, is not recycling. >_>
I say no to recycling, impress people with your newer and more improved stuff.

my thinking is that for collab videos use new ones..
for your own videos. meaning featuring only you... you can use your old videos, and a new one at the end to BOOM it up! =p

You see, if I were you, I would've deleted about 900 of those videos already.
