Title: What Is It About Penspinning...

UnEmploymentDude - March 9, 2007 01:13 AM (GMT)
That makes it special? And this forum.

I mean, how many forums you you post in where you actually give out your real home address? Not many. Is it the want for pens? I mean what if the person is a serial killing pedofile?
And even stranger, gatherings! We're meeting people who we know through the internet... MySpace has made it obvious that that is very bad!
I'm gonna get off now finish up later.

fitzgeraldhimself - March 9, 2007 02:16 AM (GMT)
Haha, a murdering pen spinner. It is what I've always imagined in my mind's eye.

firebird - March 9, 2007 02:35 AM (GMT)
Everything is special in some way to certain people. But gatherings? Those happen at many forums.

Joshua - March 9, 2007 02:39 AM (GMT)
I'm going to kill you all.

JAY KAY! :)

JAY KAY! :)

LOL YOU GOT ME! HA HA.

I dunno, I think it's just that we all share the same hobby and part of the hobby is to collect, and trade!

spin~TAP - March 9, 2007 04:25 AM (GMT)
Well, I sort of have that desire to kill, that's what the medication's for.

 Jay Kay!!!!

Seriously though, I think we are all just bored teens with a need of something to do.

sketching - March 9, 2007 05:09 AM (GMT)
Pen spinning. Is. Awesome...No need to explain it.

TurbulentTurtle - March 9, 2007 05:36 AM (GMT)
It must be our ignorance that does it. No one smart enough would ever give personal information out onto the internet for random people to send packets of unknown goods to.

OmegEn - March 9, 2007 06:24 AM (GMT)
Lmao, that's why I don't give my address, I give my girlfriends. ^^.

I am there all the time though.

Hmm. How many spinners in Las Vegas, NV?

I wanna go to a gathering. >.>

xshadowfire - March 9, 2007 12:20 PM (GMT)
great boyfriend you are.

Eso - March 9, 2007 02:09 PM (GMT)
Or you could just not post your address anywhere and just PM it to the person.

Lmao, that's not the only reason. ^^ My pen trading is undercover and my family would freak, her family is ok with it, therefore I use her address.

OFF TOPIC
I don't know about you, but I'd like to keep the pen spinning thing a little low profile (haha :blaugh:) from my gf.

ON TOPIC
If you like something, of course it's going to seem special. I used to be part of an anime forum, admin even, and that was special to me for a long time.

Health - March 9, 2007 02:33 PM (GMT)
I have alot of free time....

I'm one of those people who could have a 24-hour schedule, and still manage to fit in 24 hours of PSing :D

I even PS in work while i work the tills, and one in every 4 person asks me what im doing/how im doing that (Which disguises the fact that im really slow and inexperienced at working tills :P)

PSing != Life < PSing

OFFTOPIC - I also keep it kinda secret from my gf, buuuut sometimes ya just gotta spin ;)

TurbulentTurtle - March 9, 2007 03:04 PM (GMT)
Why would you guys keep it a secret from your GFs?
If they don't like it, smack them up

fitzgeraldhimself - March 9, 2007 03:05 PM (GMT)
My exgirlfriend learned how to do TA without telling me and then surprised me haha.

I lol'd. PS jokes are funny. But nothing beats computer science jokes.

I figure another thing that makes pen spinning so special is the relics involved. Shiny pens and whatnot. I got some nifty stuff from DI. (psst, he's not a bad trader).

UnEmploymentDude - March 10, 2007 03:32 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I'd sorta keep a low profile about me PS too, I'll admit I PS but,... thats it.

lol ^^

If I spin in public, I try to be doing something else as well. It leaves a better impression imo.

Crzyazn - March 10, 2007 05:45 AM (GMT)
It keeps me off drugs

RippDrive - March 10, 2007 06:47 AM (GMT)
PS, my anti-drug.

Not really, but if it helps PS spread I will say so.

Cybrax2 - March 10, 2007 07:12 AM (GMT)
This is a hobby where you can sit on your ass all day and do something. Duh!

RippDrive - March 10, 2007 07:41 AM (GMT)
I love it because you can do it at pretty much any time. Waiting for a bus? PS. Load screen? PS. Bored in class? PS.

It's just so accessible, I can't think of any other hobby that you can do almost any time.

fuzzyshan - March 10, 2007 02:40 PM (GMT)
its everything the community the versatileness, the fact that even if your crap at it you can still impress people (a year back i remember stunning people with a slow fingerpass). The fact that there are pretty much no limits. The fact that you dont need to spend a lot of money to be good. the way people tell you that pen spinning is fake and then try to prove that your pen is magnetic (or summin) like that. to cut a long story short pen spinning is awesome in every single way.
8-]

MikeN - March 11, 2007 02:24 PM (GMT)
I started PS so that I wouldn't be as bored in class...and then it turned into an addiction.
:jawdrop:

RandomNewb - March 11, 2007 03:31 PM (GMT)
It's just so intuitive and efficient... You can use this mother anywhere you want man, it's so true... It's useful, except in the cold and even then you can still probably do it. It impresses people (but that's not the main point), and it helps with a lot of things and teaches you some values I suppose.

PENSPINNING IS A LIFESTYLE!!!!!

Same with BBOY, but... HUMMM~

I'm afraid I'm inclined to disagree with PSing being a lifestyle...

firebird - March 11, 2007 08:49 PM (GMT)
PS is a lifestyle only if you let it become one. Otherwise it's a hobby.

SeYoon - March 12, 2007 10:57 PM (GMT)
Just imagine, walking into a house with like pens displayed all over the walls. Then you see a couch in the shape of an MX or Comssa lol.

Crzyazn - March 13, 2007 12:50 AM (GMT)
You could always have a Dr.KT toothbrush

Im not an obsessive spinner...but ive spent my time idly learning enough tricks to impress the n00bs I hang out with
