Title: Bic-sr

So i got this idea from the retractable comssa where you can click the tip. But also inspired by spin~TAP, so i give him all credit.

COB - COP
Weight - Heavy
Length - a little over 8 inches

Bic-SR
^ The pen itself

Click it
^Clicking

Pen tip
^And the pen tip

The only flaw is that when you click the tip, i haven't figured out how to keep the tip from moving (it stays inside the grip, but it wobbles back and forth).

So what do you guys think?

P.S. If any of you guys want info on how i made it just ask.

EDIT: And the sr in Bic-SR stands for Super Retractor

if im nnot mistaken, i think you cut the bic cap? i tried this but the tip kept getting stuck. do you have this problem?

SeYoon - March 14, 2007 11:31 PM (GMT)
I took a steak knife (i'm short on good cutting tools) and slowly made the cap wider by rotating the knife tip inside of the cap. But you have to watch not not to use too much pressure or you'll cut the cap.

If you have anything that works better than a knife, i suggest using it b/c it took me a few minutes to shave enough out. You'll know if your doing it right if you start seeing shaving coming out from the cap.

The part thats hard to read says: Keep shaving until you get to this line.

Hope that helps.

so wait, after that the tip just goes through the cap?

SeYoon - March 14, 2007 11:37 PM (GMT)
Well i used HGG tips, and the metal tips slide a quarter way into the cap. You wont have to worry that it only goes in a quarter way b/c when you put the grips on, the metal tip should be able to move quite a bit without coming out (in and out, not side to side) and when you makeshift yourself something to extend the clicker, it'll put pressure on the metal tip. And that'll make it so you can click it far enough to make the pen tip come out.

EDIT: You'll have to fiddle with how far you put the pen caps on so that the pen tip comes out far enough and retracts back into the metal tip.

hmpff......i thought those were signo tips...that'd be awesome..heheh

oh and i trie it with signo tips, but i cut off the entire section of the cap and only the grip is holding the tip in place.

SeYoon - March 14, 2007 11:43 PM (GMT)
Does it still work well?

I didn't have any signo tips and my mom threw away my favorite tips  so i had some HGGs laying around and used those.

as my previous post said, it gets stuck alot. I can probly fix with a stronger spring though :P

not that i dont like ur mod, but hgg tips dont give that much more momentum

although i think if you widen the cap enough it could fit the signo

yay comssa retr copies for bictories  Id try one if it isnt metallic =( tips always poke me and there isnt a tutorial =/

i doubt that will work for it to retract..how are you gonna clik it?

SeYoon - March 14, 2007 11:52 PM (GMT)
I think if you used the plastic tip from the bic-click, you can slide it into the cap and put a grip over it. The pen would be quite long though b/c you'd have to let the tip stay out farther in order to click it. I'm sure if you experimented enough you could figure something out.

Lolz, I made this pen before, shortly after I posted the tutorial for the Bictory TR, good job. It seems that now the idea of the Comssa retractable has been successfully totally copied, for both verisons lol.

Yeah, i think that korea should ship like a million Dong-A Coms to the US. and sell them at Office Max and send like 50 to the Office Max's in Michigan so i can buy them all and make retractable comssas!

pser - March 15, 2007 12:18 AM (GMT)
i dont like bic clik tips cuz there no momentum at all, and i think thaking off the cap to clik defeats the point of retractable, which is to not take off the cap

edit!: :teach:

Well its the only way i can think of so you don't have to use metal tips.
