Title: Best Pen To Write With?

Mats - March 18, 2007 07:33 AM (GMT)
So what's the best pen to write with?

I'm a big fan of G2s.

What's the best pen in terms of being good for writing, while still keeping high 'spinnability'?

Dongza5047 - March 18, 2007 07:42 AM (GMT)
Yeah My best pen is Pilot G1.

I have too many G2s but never write with.

Ivan the Terrible - March 18, 2007 08:40 AM (GMT)
I really like BIC stics, the ink is vewry smooth and they're enough good for spinning.

Djf - March 18, 2007 08:57 AM (GMT)
Gel pens are the only way to go for me. others suckx.. the writing with them look bad (like they is all scratchy and not purely [insert color] ) gel pens real easy to right wit, u dun need to put no pre sure on they to get me to right... yah yah pretty foon to right wit.. the time now i use papermate , dun real like theys cuz theys run outta ink fast, one day gone to me, but i right lots.. i usual like them duoballs but them cost big buck here, 5 a pen, to much llo .

Bobr - March 18, 2007 10:32 AM (GMT)
I very like pilot G1

Eriror - March 18, 2007 10:37 AM (GMT)
RSVP for me.

Health - March 18, 2007 11:02 AM (GMT)
My RSVP, the black ink is just cool, and i quite like how comfortable it is, plus you dont have to grip it hard, so you dont get many marks on your hand that show up when you PS :)

NF Alex - March 18, 2007 12:23 PM (GMT)
Papermate Flexgrip Ultra. Very smooth ink, very comfortable to use.

nike t - March 18, 2007 12:35 PM (GMT)
Dr.Grip with gel ink, G2 ink. I use it all the time, in school, at home, and everywhere else

FallenSeraph - March 18, 2007 02:26 PM (GMT)
for ballpoint its definitely a basic rsvp by FAR.

for gel, what i do its try to find a good retractable gel pen, and cut/mod its ink refill length so it can fit into the dr.grip.
i personally use the signo retractable .38 from jetpens. it is soooo smooth despite being so thin. its awesome.

if you want a more spinnable G2 you should look into my GRT mod. the modding is abit tedious but its cool cauz it extends the G2 abit, making it more spinnable but not too much to look strange to other ppl. you would prolly like it mats

the german pen super pirat and all pencils

zepiroth76 - March 18, 2007 03:10 PM (GMT)
Ballsign with ballsign mod.

quebes - March 18, 2007 04:00 PM (GMT)
rsvp. its smooth and i like it more when its fine because my writing is messy and itsa easier for the teacher which helps my mark abit

Driphter - March 18, 2007 04:19 PM (GMT)
.38 G3. Thin and smooth.

MikeN - March 18, 2007 04:36 PM (GMT)
Hilighter?

I write with a Signo Premier 207.
It has this awesome squishy grip

fitzgeraldhimself - March 18, 2007 05:29 PM (GMT)
Dr. Grip and G3

Elky - March 18, 2007 06:08 PM (GMT)
I like RSVPs, nice and thin :hah:

LittleRaisin - March 18, 2007 06:16 PM (GMT)
im a fan of the f-3000 ink myself

Sathon - March 18, 2007 06:20 PM (GMT)
Keityo FTW
Ain't that a Daisy... It's like sign pen paint brush haha

xz64 - March 18, 2007 07:01 PM (GMT)
My favorite gel pen is Pilot Supergel 07.
My favorite ballpoint pen is Papermate Eagle.

Nighteye90 - March 18, 2007 07:06 PM (GMT)
Most of the time I use either my bictory or my MX to write with. when neither are around, I grab a random gel pen to use.

FrozenFire - March 18, 2007 07:30 PM (GMT)
my favourite ballpoint - RSVP
my favourite gel - Zebra Sarasa

Dr1v37h38u5 - March 18, 2007 07:43 PM (GMT)
i like RSVP ink in a Comssa Retr V2...
though the loose tip gets annoying sometimes. just sometimes though.

anyways i find this to be the best carry-around everywhere pen. it's really handy to have it very spinnable, due to it's comssa-ness, and easily writeable.

the only problem is the issue with the clicker tip staying on. more often than not, the clicker tip is bouncing around loose inside the rear comssa cap. i jam it back on whenever i get the chance, but it keeps coming off when i drop the pen.

spin~TAP - March 18, 2007 09:05 PM (GMT)
At school, there is sort of a pen stealing epidemic and it's pissing me off so I don't bring any of my sexy mods like my HGG comssa or MX because they are very prone to being stolen and are more missed on account of their parts not all being available in the U.S.A.

So, at school I often use RSVP RzDz's. They have the smooth black ink of an RSVP with a slightly cooler, off-beat look. If I had to choose a mod to write with, it would probably be any mod using RSVP ink, it is the smoothest ink by far IMO. It never gets dry or anything like the ink of a G2 does sometimes and doesn't leave smudges on my hand from writing.

Basically, RzDz's, Moonz, and regular med. ink RSVP's FTW.

FallenSeraph - March 18, 2007 09:36 PM (GMT)
instead of using a rzdz to get a cool looking rsvp to write with, jus stick an insert in there. who says it has to be modded in order to put an insert in.

Yeah! :D I insert my random RSVP's, even if i never use them :P

spin~TAP - March 19, 2007 12:20 AM (GMT)
Yeah but I like RzDz's better than an insert, the entire thing is tinted.

UnEmploymentDude - March 19, 2007 01:30 AM (GMT)
Anyone use Pilot Precise V7s? Best, smoothest pen I've ever used!

i find rollerballs come out too fast for me.
gel is right between roller and ballpoint, so it comes out smooth without bleeding. and gels can get really thin. lik .3mm

Dark Angel-REX - March 19, 2007 09:04 AM (GMT)
Best pens to write with? does modded pen being able to write also count?

Then probably my Neo-REX MX for heavy spinning (18 grams) or SGG3 MMX for decent spinning (15 grams)

If unmodded, probably Dr.Grip

firebird - March 19, 2007 01:18 PM (GMT)
I write with my dad's company pen (not sure what make it is) when I have to write in ink. It writes well but sometimes the ink smudges if your hand moves across it before it dries. Whenever I can, I write with a mechanical pencil.

lefty101 - March 19, 2007 06:12 PM (GMT)
i like the g2
and the rsvp :vhappy:

spinofdoom - March 20, 2007 01:21 PM (GMT)
I use a uniball signo Retractable.

I don't think you can find it in most stores anymore :dunno:

TurbulentTurtle - March 20, 2007 10:19 PM (GMT)
Monami Jellpin or G2s.

Eburt - March 20, 2007 10:22 PM (GMT)
I just realized that, this being about pens and all, it probably belongs in "Pens and Modifications" so I'm going to move it now...

Also I prefer RSVPs or Bic Click pens... mainly because they are very hard to spin alone so I actually get some work done :P

PenMod-Erator - March 20, 2007 10:32 PM (GMT)
i like g2s, except sometimes they smear really bad (like all over your double-test grade english essay). to play it safe, i usually use RSVP ink. it is as good as BIC ink, only doesn't need as much pressure.

K4S - March 20, 2007 10:46 PM (GMT)
red rsvp ink sucks...its so faint. But for blue pens i like rsvps, for red pens i choose bic. G2 ink is very nice but it smudges a lot easier than rsvp ink does. The majority of gel pens are terrible for writing, smudge like all hell and are only good for artistic purposes imo.

Dice - March 20, 2007 11:35 PM (GMT)
rsvps are definatly the best
pens to write with

Olivier - March 21, 2007 07:30 PM (GMT)
I personally used RSVPs before I bought a Dr. Grip Gel... Now I'm reluctant to go back to ball-point pens.

An obvious piece of advice, too- Don't drop gel pens... The ink won't write as smoothly after a few hard drops.

PenSpinner - March 21, 2007 10:06 PM (GMT)
somestimes i write with ComSsa but the most time with a Pencil/Ballpoint (Like G2)
