Anyone have any good tips on breakdancing?
Like footwork, freezes, windmills and tips on how to do them?
I can do footwork and some good freezes, but im having a hard time getting windmills.

QFT
If possible practice with your friends so it won't be so boring.
Well what kind of freeze's can you do?
And windmills take time depending from the person, like some people learned windmills in 2 weeks while others need 4 months. Just practice them everyday, find problems in your technique and fix them.
This guide might help you.
And practice handstands alot they build up quite some strength.

I can do most 1 handed handstand freezes, elbow freezes, double hand freezes.

I would suggest you get real comfortable doing footwork. Power moves are cool but there's only so much you can do with them. Start learning footwork and toprock. Those are key to good bboying.
As for learning how to do them, you either need someone to help you or hit up some websites. I can't remember any off the top of my head, so ask RandomNewb or Ivan.
Always stretch before you start your practice session. If you wanna start doing power moves, build some strength first. Otherwise, you WILL get hurt. Tonedeff used to bboy but almost became paralyzed permanantly. Now he's an emcee.

Snap, elbow freezes? Those are hard.
I learned half the windmill then stopped. The windmill is a lot easier than the flare, so I suggest starting there if you want.

As far as power moves is concerned, I suggest learning 1990's, windmill, solars, and turtles first. Not sure if turtles are considered a power move though. I think those would set a good foundation for trickier stuff.

To me I htink break dancing is awesome. But all I can do is the 6 step and the windmill. The problem with it is the upper arm strength.
But what I'm more interested in is hip hop dancing. Strobin', air walks, sliding, etc. I think thats a pretty cool manipulation.

To get a look at what real bboying is about, look up clips on Rivers crew and Drifters crew. Some of the sickest bboys on the planet. Their toprock and footwork are incredibly polished. Something that most American bboys need to work on.

if you go on youtube theres a bunch of tutorials on how to break but for me what helped me alot was the gamblers tuturials. the vids provide awesome breakdowns of moves and also great visuals for you visual learners who arent korean, and if you are korean its a plus because you might have a clue what theyre saying lol as for me i just sit back watch and try to figure out wth they are saying haha. for elbow freezes theyre not as hard as they look all you do is go on your knees put your forearm down and other arm palm down then just practise bouncing on your toes until you feel comfortable and when your ready just kick up do any pose you wish (nike freeze, pike, L kick, touch your toes, both arms behind head etc..) , lift up your forearm and bam your on your elbow. elbow freeze takes no strength just knowing how to do it is important. but just remember to have something soft under your elbow like a pad, carpet etc or you'll end up like me with a round scar haha
