Although I'm no where near the skill level to perform this I felt that you presented it really nicely. I'd love to see some tutorials from you for other tricks

Thanks for the replies! I'm glad you all liked it. The YouTube link is up for those of you who don't like waiting for the download to finish.

I'm no where near the skill level to try and learn this yet but thorough tutorials like this are very kind and helpful. Hope to see more to come :)

yahoo! I got it down in about 20 mins. Nice tutorial, cleared up a lot of problems for me (especially that section "common problems".)
Yea. :spin:
MuChO_LoCo - March 23, 2007 05:35 AM (GMT)
TY!! i was just about to post a vid about how funny it looks when i try this combo..
i got it once with a KT b4 the vid ended =D luck though
I like how it isn't just a vid like some other "tutorials" that only have a slowed clip. It actually has words and an explanation =)
longhorn - March 23, 2007 09:26 AM (GMT)
Thx for this tut.
Ahhh I can done it by KT only
Eriror - March 23, 2007 10:19 AM (GMT)
Hahaha, really nice. Can't wait until you post tutorials for other mini-combos. Really helpful. :) I was waiting until you did the combo yourself, because you were like explaining, and explaining, but you never did a real one. :P This should help me with my left hand.
tohxinzhan29 - March 23, 2007 10:52 AM (GMT)
!@??##@ I better start practicing
Rorix - March 23, 2007 11:01 AM (GMT)
Hmm, I've been meaning to learn this for a while but I gave up after I tried fake double > bak rev.
Still loading the video... <_<

That's cause I can't do one just like that. The one I did at the end of the video took me 6 minutes to do. :(
New video. Check top.

Thanks! There's so few tutorials out there like mine. I even will go far to say that there's nearly any! I usually only make tutorials for hard tricks/combos if I think it's needed by the community. Even the PDS "tutorials" don't help that much.
I think I forgot to cover one thing. The margin of error for the Twisted Sonic Bust. Well, I covered it kinda, but not really. Margin of error for Tw S Bust is like, how the pen ends up in the slot and how much time you have to execute the link. Well, I guess I did cover it.
Rorix - March 23, 2007 12:20 PM (GMT)
Dammit, I can't even get the bak rev to even start after the twisted sonic bust... <_< And a lot of the time, I can't land my twisted sonic bust into bak rev position, it ends up too far from my hand. How do you get it to land further back?
Eso - March 23, 2007 01:41 PM (GMT)
You need to re-learn the Twisted Sonic Bust then. I believe that most of the time, you will want the Twisted Sonic Bust to end up near the flap between 1 and 2, not near the fingertips. When it is near the flap, it is easier to raise finger 1 in time. And when you raise finger 1 at JUST the right moment and do the Bak Rev motion, then finger 1 will "push" the pen down just like how I shown in the "Doing the Bak Rev" segment.
Watch the video again at 4 minutes to see exactly WHEN and WHERE the timing is for the linking.

I was always horny about learning this trick, this video gave me a nice boost and i quickly learned it.. although the rev bak doesn't look very nice - need to make it more "fingerless". Right now it's more like tilted indexaround :P

Twisted Sonic Bust - Bak Rev
Can anyone tell me what is 'Bust' & 'Bak'
means by???? is that short form of what?
thank you! :spin:
neXus - March 25, 2007 10:42 AM (GMT)
Bak = Backaround.
Bak Rev = Backaround Reverse.
Ivan the Terrible - March 25, 2007 11:12 AM (GMT)
Bust = fl. indexaround (simmilar to bak rev.)
I find this combo too hard so I won't even really nother to practice and learn it.
Nice tutorial btw.

Very good tutorial!
And the slow mo is a nice touch!
I can't do Tw Sonic though. :(
Pierre - March 25, 2007 06:21 PM (GMT)
This move is quite nice, but the knack is quite hard to get used too.
strat1227 - March 25, 2007 07:36 PM (GMT)
I learned it, but different than the way you did it <_<
Nice tutorial though :D :D

I can't really tell from the video, but it seems like you are. Though it did look like you used your thumb. But you didn't, right?
