I know this may be wierd coming from me but i'm looking for a tutorial for an RSVP MX MMT. It looks pretty nice and it may be longer than a normal RSVP MMT so i'd though i'd try it out.

I'm sort of new to pen spinning, I enjoy modding pens more than spinning them. Only information I found out about this pen was from the picture, they used the whole G2 barrel, you can tell because there is a faint line before the tip, that on a G2 keeps the retracting mechanism from falling out if you take it apart.

Sort of confusing to know what the actual name of the pen is, since they call it an MMT, and I thought the version where the G2 barrel is cut to the length of... well about the length of the HGG grip on an MX was called an RSVP MMX, not MMT.

Well uh yeah, there's my bit. I made mine with as much of the G2 barrel as possible, and found a metal tip that flattens out where it screws onto the pen that fits very snugly into the G2 barrel. It's from a roseart gel pen, I can get the name if you'd like. I don't have access to HGGs or Singos, so I can't compare.

Mine is about 19.7 centimeters long, but I pushed the grip ALL the way into the cap. It could be 20.9 Centimeters if the grip was pushed in just enough so that the cap would fully cover the back cap of the RSVP.


EDIT: in that picture on penspinstore, it looks like they used an HGG tip, since they included it in the picture and I'm guessing that means that a component of that pen went into the mod, but I have no clue as to how they put it in, short of gluing it in, which wouldn't be very sturdy. If a singo tip fits into a G2 barrel snugly, I'd use that as from what I gather, they have the flattened back part like the tips I described on the Roseart pens, which makes it very snug and secure in the G2 barrel. The only problem is that you can't put an insert in the area where the tip is, but if you add the grip like in an RSVP AMMX, it covers it up.

MMT is the Korean termanology for MMX. They are the same. however NX MMT... I have no idea... all I know is LSC made it specifically for TV appearances...

i believ that it is just made like a RSVP MMX but u sand the barrel of the RSVP so that the whole g2 barrel can fit over and the tip is still at th front and it take on eheliva long tiem 2 make. im guessing u dont understanding what i said

well i understand whats used in the pen and it is HGG, G2, and RSVP. the only thing i don't understand is where the extra addition to the RSVP tip to attach the HGG tip comes from, it actually doesn't use the entire g2 portion, it's very close. i was just thinking maybe someone had a picture with the G2 part off so i could check the "insides" of it.

I think I understood what you said. :lol: But I dont think so. the rsvp nx mmt is longer than the mmt (mmx). so there has to be something for the HGG tip to be put on... :unsure:
I tried to build a nx mmt for myself. but the way I got the tip into the g2 barrel was not very ... "clean". I used much tape and it is not a very nice solution...

so please come up with your suggestions how to build such a mod... :bowdown:

btw, this green nx mmt (Smapla's link) is really sexy.. :wub: ..... imo :bowdown:

i think he may use the clicker part to a G2 as the extension. it works pretty damn well IMO.

well on G3 part you screw of the part then you just cut there the clicker part is.
so yoiu just cut the g3 barrel once.

and the tip is HGG

You may be right. If you look in the pictures of the NX MMT in the penspinstore, and compare it to the MMT, you'll notice some parts are gone.

in the pictures the back of the clicking mechanism looks like its not used as donk3y was trying out...but his solution seems to work the easiest.

lol alright now i need help with this mod...i got the g2 barrel all filed down...that was a bitch to do...but now the metal tip doesn't really fit in it...and how do i even stick it on? just like some how super glue it on?

and how do i stick the barrel of the g2 on the rsvp barrel? man this is a hard mod. i need help.

do what donk3y did for the tip, the g2 barrel just slides over the rsvp...i dont understand how you're having a problem with that? (did you sand down the little bumps near the tip <_< )

oh i got it...ya thats what i did...i thought i would be like glued on or something but i guess it just on there then huh...

the hgg tip can be jammed into the g2 clicker part enough so that it will likely never fall off. The g2 clicker part can be taped or glued to the tip of the rsvp

alright im done...man its a fuckin hard pen to make...i didn't use the hgg tips cuz i cant find any hgg's where i live...i used these other tips that i have a lot of and so i had to super glue it on the g2 barrel witch didn't work so well so i just covered it up with profile grips and i think it looks ok. very good pen and yeah...very great momentom! i just need better inserts and it will look better.

insert for the cap, i wanted to even out the black on both ends so yeah.

not retractable, though i do have an idea for another retractable pen, kind of like monami mechanism but that's another thread ;)

i just got a working prototype for an nx mmt retractable that uses the hg3r mechanism, but some problems are that i can't get an insert in the front (although i think i could solve that by using super glue instead of hotglue....) or back (how'd you get yours in on the rsvp hg3r?) and cap is on a little tight so you have to pull to make it release :|
