Title: Zebra F-301 Ready To Spin

Okay, this is my first mod and tut. so I'll be needing constructive criticism.

THIS PEN CAN NOT WRITE!!!! Fair warning, but onward with the tutorial!

Name: Zebra F-301 RTS
Length: 22cm give or take
Weight: F-301 ~ RSVP CX

Pens Needed: user posted image

2x Zebra F-301
2x Papermate med pt.
2x Signo 207 retractable (optional)

Tools needed: Pliers, Super glue, something with which to get the clicker part out, knife or something to cut soft plastic.

1. Using the pliers, pull off the little ring (in this case black) off of the back of both Zebras. Be sure to pull up not back, If you pull backwards and bend the ring, it will break and waste a pen.

2. After completing step 1, something like this should slide out, cut directly in the center of the hole.

3. Put a small amount of super glue around the rim on both sides of the barrel and slide the pieces from step 2 in.

You should now have this

4. While it's drying, it's time to get your caps ready. Slide a pencil eraser into each of the caps. After that, grips and tips. This is where the Signo retractable comes in. This tip clips onto the cap and stays on. If you don't want to use it then use another metal tip of your choice. Apply the grips you want, I use half a BIC Permanent Grip marker and half a RSVP, then add a G2 for the sake of looks.

5. Spin Away!!!

Pros: Heavier than BICtory
Slightly longer than average BICtory
Looks nice
Spins nice

Cons: Economically, this pen makes no sense. It's 2 (possibly 4 if you use the Signos) pretty expensive pens to make one spinning pen.
Again, it does not write.

before seeing the pics... I have a few questions...

Firstly I'm guessing this can't write, correct?

Second, why is it called "type bictory" when it doesn't even use a Bic pen? I guess this isn't a big deal though because its the same style mod...

Its probably to heavy/long for my likeing, but I'm sure someone will think otherwise. Also does seem very expensive...

Correct, it does not write, I meant to add that to cons. And yes, it is expensive for one pen but I think it's worth it. It also knocks off about everything a BICtory hater can say except for it being long.

Technically it shouldn't be type bictory but it is a similar pen. It is just taking 2 pens of the same kind and putting it to one barrel then double capping it. I'll think of a better name for it later I guess.

this mod kinda confuses me :dunno:
it looks like it costs too much for me seeing that i dont have a job but still nice

nice and long
i'm correct in that you can change the grips and make it as heavy as hell right?

the type bictory thing is really strange too

I'm working on a better name for it.

Yeah, its more of a vortex mod. Still seem expensive, and are those black things in picture #7 "grippy"?

Holy - April 6, 2007 05:07 AM (GMT)
No, they're not "grippy" at all. They're a hard plastic. It's not uncomfortable to spin though.

And can you define a "vortex" mod?

COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT!

hahaha, jk.

It seems like a good mod, but the signo joint seems to be a durability issue (well judging by looks.)

Isn't it kinda weighty at the ends? I would imagine that being a drawback...

The tip stays on pretty well if that's what you're saying. I had to use pliers to get them off once...

And I guess the ends are a matter of opinion, I don't think it feels quite right spinning without the tips on.
