Characters, while based on real-life pen spinners, are fictitious and their actions in this game are purely imaginary. Please do not be offended if your favourite pen spinner gets eliminated in the game, it's just fantasy.

The Story:

"kam, the world's most famous pen spinner, organizes a gathering where the best and most notorious pen spinners of the planet meet to discuss their art.

Due to the rising popularity of primarily using pens to spin, sales of pencils have decreased worldwide. This triggered a state of emergency for the PC (the pencil council), an organization of pencil makers. They see this gathering as a perfect opportunity to neutralize the pen spinning hobby by eliminating its best spinners.

The PC hires a group of anonymous pen spinners, dubbed the "000", to attend the meeting and eliminate the other spinners.

All guests have arrived, and someone informs kam that about the 000 agents. He regroups all spinners present and tell everybody about the situation. No one knows exactly who are the 000 agents amongst them, but will kam and his spinners successfully take them out before it's too late?"

Factions:

Town: Famous Pen Spinners
Mafia: 000 Agents
???: Mystery Character

Narrators: Zombo, firebird (Not part of the game)
Moderator: Zombo (Not part of the game)

Win conditions:

Pen Spinners: Eliminate all 000 and the mystery character.
000: Eliminate all pen spinners and the mystery character.
Mystery Character: Be the last person surviving (eliminate everybody else).

Rules:

1) It will be a Day Start.
2) Each day will last roughly 72 hours, each night will last 48 hours. This is at the discretion of the moderator.
3) 51% of the players will be required to Lynch. When 51% is reached lynching will be automatic so be careful with your vote.
4) Do not quote / screenshot any PM you receive. You may paraphrase any information you receive via PM, though.
5) Do not reveal your teammates.
6) Town people may only communicate through the game thread. Mafia may also communicate secretely via PM during the night.
7) If you're eliminated, do not post in the game thread anymore and do not communicate with anybody still playing.
8) If you have any questions please pm the moderator.
9) Have Fun!

10) Only 2 role claims allowed per day for everybody (not per person!). Role claim refers to the act of one player claiming to be a certain Pen Spinner (can be a lie). This is to prevent all townies revealing their role at the same time and putting pressure on non-Town players to come up with a fake character in a short period of time. Counter-claims are always allowed. Counter-claiming is a claim on the same role as somebody else.

11) You cannot edit your post. If you make a mistake, simply double-post your correction. If you vote and decide to cancel your vote right after, simply post another post with your change of vote. Double-post is allowed in this thread.

Additional Notes:

1) Everybody can vote during the day period for a lynch. When voting, use this format:

If you don't vote in bold, your vote won't count. You may change your vote at any time by "unvoting" and re-voting in a subsequent post (Do not edit your previous post). You only have one vote active per day.

2) Only town people are assigned a pen spinner role to play with. 000 and the Mystery character may have to make up a fake character identity if needed.

3) Certain characters have special powers associated to them. The person that is playing that character will be notified of his/her power. They may choose to divulge that information publicly if they wish.

4) To help the town, each pen spinner is given a clue which will give them information about the special powers and such. 000 and the Mystery do not have a clue, and may have to make up one if needed. Clue may be shared publicly.

5) You can directly quote your clue from the info PM.

6) All roles are assigned at random.

7) Voting is not mandatory. You can choose not to vote if you don't want to (especially important for Mafia members).

8) However, you can also choose to vote No Lynch. If no lynch gets the majority, the day ends with no one eliminated and we skip immediately to the night.

9) When someone is eliminated, his/her real identity is revealed, along with his/her secret powers.

10) Players cannot talk at night, unless they have the permission to.

Tips:

1) Do not role claim recklessly, even if you're telling the truth. Role claiming reveals your identity and may raise suspicion or make you a target for the Mafia.

2) Only townies have clues, feel free to share it or put pressure on non-Townies to lie about having a clue.

3) Do not be afraid to vote. You can change or nullify your vote any time. Even mafia and the mystery character have the right to vote.

4) Carefully ponder on each and every action or non-action. If you make a mistake and someone picks it up, you will be lynched or eliminated pretty quick.

5) Please be active and participate. If you are inactive for too long, I will simply replace you. Check your PM's and the game thread every day at least.

6) Don't be naive and believe everything written as true. Lying is part of the game.

7) Notice that the victory for the game is "last side standing". This means, if your faction wins and you're dead, you're still a winner. So don't be afraid to sacrifice yourself if it gives your faction a better chance to win.

8) You do NOT have to roleplay your character. In fact, it's better if you act out of character, so nobody can guess your identity.

Since night 3's elimination is inevitable, day 4 would start with 3 000 agents and 3 spinners. Since the spinners no longer have the outright majority (51%) of the lynch, lynching is technically impossible, and 000 wins by default.

I will now post night actions for each night, and the role pm sent to everyone.
I will also create the Post Game Thread, where everybody can talk in and discuss the game.

Day 1 – Morning - "Foreboding"

As the conference room beings to fill up with pen spinners, the atmosphere is suffused with nervous excitement. For many attending, kam has only been known as far as an username on a pen spinning forum. So to physically see and hear the person responsible for the prosperity of PS holds a special significance in the hearts of these people who admire him. The attendees seat themselves and a hush settles over the room as the spinners wait in eager expectation.

The moment kam enters, a thunderous applause erupts from the audience as he takes the podium. Once the clapping finally subsides, kam begins speaking:

“Welcome, fellow pen spinners, to the first universal pen spinning gathering. Today, I had hoped to speak about the art we all share in common. However, something serious has just arisen that requires immediate attention.”

After a heavy sigh, kam continues. “We have long known about the pencil council’s deep-seated resentment toward our community, but perhaps I underestimated the extent of their hate. They have seemingly realized that launching verbal missiles at us is inadequate and no longer effective, so they have resorted to action. Minutes ago, I was informed by a reliable source that the pencil council has infiltrated our ranks.”

A collective gasp is heard from the audience, and kam has to wait for the people to settle down before resuming. “They have sent moles to spy on this meeting and relay our secrets back to them. If this valuable information were to fall into the hands of the PC, it would be fatal to the pen spinning world. I’m afraid the bad news doesn’t end there, however. The PC, even with knowledge that will compromise our community, is unwilling to risk the chance that we may have a secondary plan, so the spies hope to kill us outright before leaving.”

The audience is very restless now, with spinners eyeing each other suspiciously, and kam has to wait even longer than before for the people to calm down. “Unfortunately, exposing the spies is difficult as none of us have ever seen each other before in real life, allowing the frauds to masquerade as virtually anyone.”

“We have worked hard for years to advance pen spinning to its current enjoyed success and popularity, and all this could disappear in an instant. Thus, it is of utmost importance that we eradicate this threat to our community. I will now adjourn this meeting so we may seek out these culprits and have them ... eliminated ... from our discussion.”

“Good luck.”

Whoa there Strat... use your head a little. Whats to say you're not Mafia, just trying to get us to quickly lynch a non-Mafia member? Hell, what's to say that I'm not Mafia?

Fact of the matter is, blind voting works against the townies, as there's more probability that we will get killed. So until we actually have decent reason to suspect someone my vote will be:

When does day end?

as soon as someone gets enough vote to be lynched, or if no lynch gets majority.

Alternatively, if no decision is made within 72 hours.

I can also end the day if I feel the conversation is going nowhere.

I will notify you in advance if the day is about to end.

So I'm assuming this is supposed to be RP style?

Alright spinners, we don't know who here is an agent or what exactly is going on. I think we should start with what each of us knows. Remember, agents will try to lie to us so we have to think about this logically. We don't even know how many of these bastards there are.
I know I am myself and a real pen spinner. Maybe I could do one of my famous combos to prove this to you or maybe you will never believe me, it's hard to say.
I for one think that we should try to catch these bastards as soon as possible, if we don't do something before tonight one of us could be dead in the morning.

Just remember guys, approach everything to hear in the next few days with scrutiny. I don't care if you think I'm an agent, a spinner or what. This is good advice either way.

Now these agents already know each other and have a hand up on us. Just remember, we are the best and brightest in the PS community. These clowns have nothing on us.

no it's not RP style. Read one of my tips. Because if you act in character, people can easily guess what personnality you are.

the reason I don't want edits is because someone may go back and edit their vote, then claim they didn't vote or whatever.

don't worry about nothing happening in the first day, usually it starts out pretty slow, but try to think of what you alraedy know and how you can use/share your knowledge, as ripp said.

Before we go further, I just want to note that when someone gets eliminated or lynched, I will reveal full details about that person (his/her role, what faction s/he belonged to, what secret powers s/he had).

The point is, how can we trust anyone in here?

I just want to talk to kensai, because he's never lied to me before. Kensai, for me, can we (the pen spinners) trust you? I need to know that someone is being serious when they say they're a pen spinner and not with the PC.
Truth is, we all want to find the PC in here, and we can't do it by accusing everyone who says something suspicious...

I'm not trying to get a vote off of myself, either. I just find it weird, Strat, that you're talking so much. I'm sure someone from the PC would want us to think they're innocent of moling, not by keeping quiet and letting us duke it out --- but by yapping until everyone believes it's not that person!

We just have to wait till someone gets lynched or eliminated and it goes from there.

The way I see it it won't be possible for us to logically choose a PC member on the first day. Unless someone says something stupid or shares a good hint it's pretty much a lottery. We just need to hope that we don't kill the cop or the doctor. We do have a cop and a doctor right?

I have a hint that if I post now it will prove I am innocent tomorrow but I'm not sure if that would be the best way to use it.

Does anyone else want to hint at anything that might be useful?


Also, does 000 know about ?????. Who he is, what he is, what he does? Does ???? know anything about 000?
