Title: Use Entire Grip On Ammx Mod?
Description: anyone do this?

Is it?

If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm talking about an AMMX, except instead of putting a small piece of grip on top of the G2 Barrel, you practically cover the barrel with grip. I just want to see if people do this, because I don't really hear or see anything about doing this.

I can list reasons as to why I did this, because I know it somewhat nullifies part of the reason to have an mmx (the less friction), but I'm quite tired right now. I'll list'em if someone wants me to.

Oh, an I can also make a vid of it (I lost my real camera and my phone camera doesn't really work :dunno: )

Well, the point of an mmx (mmt?) is to have more plastic barrel area to spin with so if you add a full grip to the G2 section you might as well just have made an MX and used a heavier tip. The tiny section of grip on an mmx was just so infinities were do-able i figured.

Think of it this way. If a full grip AMMX is rated 4 on the sexy scale. Then the MMX is rated 2438759812735982179. xD

well, I seem to like it.

I know it voids most of the purpose of having an mmx type thingy (hell in the first post it says that i know that), but I still find it awesome.

The main reason why I did this, was because of weight and I like grips. Of course it is heavier than a standard AMMX, but it also forces me to put grip on the outside part of the cap, to correct the cog, which is something I wanted. An excuse to put grip on the cap so it has somewhat dual sided properties. Basically to make infinities easier on the back side so there is no trick that is unable to be used on either side (I know this is probably sounding retarded to everyone and their mothers right now, but it makes perfect sense for me). Oh, and I like the added thickness to the profile grip from making an ammx, and the full grippyness of a standard MX.

One last thing, I find this actually corrects my baks more than an mmx (thats just me though, probably not for other people). I find that how I set it up, all baks are easily done at the base of the grips on both sides, so it marks where I should bak.

If you look at my (late) PSL round 2 vid, I am using a fully gripped AMMX (I know it would be hard to see it is an ammx, just look at the thickness of the grip, way thicker than a normal profile grip).
