is it good for spinning
and how come noone mentioned it before

tokuwee15 - March 10, 2006 05:24 AM (GMT)
monami is just one of many other brands in korea that make computer pens for tests.

its not as good as the donga comssa imo.

it hasn't been mentioned many times simply because its not as popular and not many people have it.

TurbulentTurtle - March 10, 2006 06:44 AM (GMT)
I have a couple of them. They're not as thick or long as the regular Dong-A com-ssas, but they could work.

nhprm - March 10, 2006 04:43 PM (GMT)
Hey, I'm new to the forum, as you may know, and I also live in America. I am therefore oblivious as to what a "computer pen" is. What is it, and how does it work to help kids take tests?? I know what they look like: I want to know about functionality. Is it just that one side is a stylus, or something??

nike t - March 10, 2006 08:16 PM (GMT)
it doesn't help kids take tests it's how they take tests, they do that in Korea (and probably sum other countries), they probably have like a kind of scanner thingy that reads it sumhow? i don't really know, but I read one of Mrviles posts and in the US they use them for signatures

sketching - March 10, 2006 09:11 PM (GMT)
Since you're from the US, picture the scantron sheets that we use with a #2 pencil. Instead of that, some places use a system that involves the sign pen instead.

Donk3y - March 10, 2006 09:13 PM (GMT)
dang we should do that too so when we're taking finals we all can be completly distracted from our awesome pens that we mus have to take it !!!!!!

Quota - March 11, 2006 04:19 AM (GMT)
yeah that would be awesome

what other versions of the comssa are there or the dong a comssa the only spinnable one

tokuwee15 - March 11, 2006 05:46 AM (GMT)
there are many different kinds of computer pens (too much to list) due to the many different brands that create computer pens. not all of them are good for spinning.

EvoLoNN - March 11, 2006 02:56 PM (GMT)
Hmm so in Korea all answers marked on the scantron are final?

Aldmer - September 4, 2006 09:30 AM (GMT)
Alright my friend went to Korea, so i asked him to buy some Dong-A Computer Sign pens. He's now back, telling me he didn't find computer sign pens from "Dong-A", handing me out "MonAmi Computer sign pens". Has anyone ever heard of it? Is there a mod you can only do with them?

TayYH89 - September 4, 2006 12:27 PM (GMT)
The typical stick like mod.
Double capped them, add grips at the end. There, you have a mod.

UnEmploymentDude - September 5, 2006 11:47 PM (GMT)
Can you get a pic for us?

Aldmer - September 6, 2006 05:50 AM (GMT)
Alright I'll put a pic, but now i gotta go^^

Trogz - September 29, 2006 11:35 PM (GMT)
what the heck is a computer sign pen? except for the purpose of spinning i mean

TayYH89 - September 30, 2006 02:33 AM (GMT)
A computer sign pen is just a regular marker. (no?)

AFAIK, in Korea, they use these pens to shade the optical answer sheet.

darkinertia - September 30, 2006 03:00 AM (GMT)
yeah, pretty much the number 2 pencil of korea

shuya - May 1, 2007 10:07 AM (GMT)
what i'm wondering is...

is the comssa mod just the pen with a cap on the back or is it more involved than that? i looked all over the forum and couldn't find anything but it may well be that i missed it and all i need is a link.

also, anyone know if there's much difference between the monami audena and the dong-a pen? do they still make for good spinning?

thanks for the advice.

H-J - May 1, 2007 10:38 AM (GMT)
You can make a Audena Comssa out of the pens.
put a cap on the back and cut a Anyball/Profile grip in 2 parts and then put the grips on the caps.
I dont know if it spins well. cuz I havenīt tried to mod a Audena ComSsa.

PenMod-Erator - May 1, 2007 10:44 PM (GMT)
you can make the EMA (extended monami commsa) which is like a ComPirat. You just add commsa caps to the end of the monami.

p.s. monamis are pretty crappy. there isn't much you can do w/ them.

Dr1v37h38u5 - May 1, 2007 10:57 PM (GMT)
yeah.... monami audena's are VERY different from comssa's...
in my opinion they aren't very good at all too skinny and short, even double capped.

try to get a real comssa.
you mod a comssa by adding another cap and then putting profile/anyball grips onto the caps. you can balance it by shoving half an RSVP grip into the rear cap.

shuya - May 2, 2007 12:49 AM (GMT)
thanks for the replies.
the monamis were super cheap so no great loss there. i'm currently spinning a pink rsvp ammx (with half a g2 grip so gmmx) which i'm getting sick of cos it looks pretty gay and i fancy something double-sided, so i bit the bullet and ordered some pendolsa comssas from jetpens ^_^ they're not so expensive and the easiest way to get asian pens in the uk.

PenMod-Erator - May 2, 2007 12:54 AM (GMT)
yeah, but the monami caps can fit on bictories to make an all-white bictory with smooth caps.

shuya - May 3, 2007 11:42 AM (GMT)
well now that's worried me >.<
i got these http://www.jetpens.com/product_info.php/cP...roducts_id/1164
dunno what version they are. what extra modding is required if i didn't get v9/10?

P0T4T0 - May 25, 2007 01:33 AM (GMT)
fyi, that is the v10

they just don't say

platypusvictim9 - May 25, 2007 04:12 AM (GMT)
Are audena comssas available in america? Cause I "got" the body from some guy who works at the mall, and I got the other cap from some whiteboard marker thing, same exact cap and everything. Also fyi signo tips fit on the caps perfectly, an like PenMod-Erator said you can put the caps on bictories.

I forgot to say that the body has no writing on it and I'm not even sure if it is a monami....

Dr1v37h38u5 - May 25, 2007 12:52 PM (GMT)
... don't revive old threads..

and you can get monami audenas at jetpens.com
