Title: Dr. Grip Mods?

Trogz - December 29, 2006 03:03 AM (GMT)
i love my dr. grip. it is so nice. but it is not adept for some trick familys like the around family. Is there any modifications i can make to it? i dont mean just use the tip or grip, i mean actually modify the pen.

BTW, it is a limited 0.5 mechanical pencil

Dark Angel-REX - December 29, 2006 03:04 AM (GMT)
U can make DR. KT...
You can make DR. Grip mod...

Trogz - December 29, 2006 03:25 AM (GMT)
there is a Dr. Grip mod? please link

NF Alex - December 29, 2006 05:33 AM (GMT)
The grip can be used for a Ballsign (you probably already know that) but I'm almost positive there aren't any mods out there that use the body.

Of course, it never hurts to try making your own mod. :spin:

MuChO_LoCo - December 30, 2006 05:12 AM (GMT)
sure, one that uses the barrel? i'd trade if it could write even if it doesn't shake

Sweet, I'm gonna make a Dr. Grip double sided mod that uses the barrel for the build off, it's in the works but after I make it I'll trade you a Comssa for it.

If the dr grip becomes longer, it loses its appeal...

Its entire specialness was because the dr grip was short, so it could be done fast and sonics were easy.

kazamidori - December 30, 2006 06:29 AM (GMT)
Can you buy Dr,grip only in Japan?

OmegEn - March 5, 2007 03:23 AM (GMT)
I finally got one today.

I know I need two for a Dr. KT.

Which I want, but are there any good mods that don't need two?

LittleRaisin - March 5, 2007 03:26 AM (GMT)
You can spin it how it is once you get used to it. it owns

OmegEn - March 5, 2007 03:38 AM (GMT)
It's nice on it's own, but it's not really suitable for my style.

Eburt - March 5, 2007 03:40 AM (GMT)
yeah... its kinda a love/hate relationship... one or the other. If you're good with it you will be quite good (Aysh) if not... well, you get the idea. As for mods... I can't think of any.

OmegEn - March 5, 2007 03:41 AM (GMT)
It actually flows pretty good for me, but it's not too good for the tricks I like to do.

Toast - March 5, 2007 03:42 AM (GMT)
You ever heard of the ballsign mod ?

Youtube it, it uses the grips of a dr grip. You have to cut them though...i kind it is a waste since the grip looks so well made.

I already have a ballsign mod I'm receiving for a trade.

So my Dr. Grip won't be destroyed.

UnEmploymentDude - March 5, 2007 07:19 AM (GMT)
Its not a mod but... you can write with it.

_en_ - March 7, 2007 06:22 PM (GMT)
I got mine at Office Max.

And I just got a second that I annoyed a girl to the point she just gave it to me.

n00bp3nsp1nn3r - March 7, 2007 06:28 PM (GMT)
lmao. it's so funny when you keep asking and they just give you a pen cause they're so annoyed...
yea i found one on the ground at mi escuela...
and i bought one at cvs <_<

spin~TAP - March 7, 2007 08:36 PM (GMT)
Dude, dont get Dr Grips COG. They arent good at all.

strat1227 - March 7, 2007 08:39 PM (GMT)
I found THE sweetest Dr Grip yesterday.

This girl at my school had it; she said she bought it in Japan. It was all white, it was a mechanical pencil, and when you shook it, the lead came out.

I begged her to give it to me, she said no <_<

NF Alex - March 7, 2007 08:41 PM (GMT)
It's Dr. Grip Shaker, the one that's supposed to be spun.

spin~TAP - March 7, 2007 08:54 PM (GMT)
yeah. They spin the best IMO. Just sometimes you forget the lead comes out when shook and you have a huge piece out and it breaks lol.

Elky - March 7, 2007 09:02 PM (GMT)
My shaker never does that. Wierd.

MikeN - March 7, 2007 10:17 PM (GMT)
I got a light blue shaky Dr. Grip from Staples, and it spins pretty well. Favorite tricks with it are (Cont.) Wiper -> Twisted Sonic 23-12 and Double Charge.

And mine dosen't randomly put out lead when i spin it. I'm pretty sure it has to be facing down.

zepiroth76 - March 7, 2007 10:52 PM (GMT)
I got a Dr. Grip Gel pen. Spins nicely for a small and heavy pen. I like it.

oshizitsrohiz - March 8, 2007 03:20 AM (GMT)
i hate both my dr grips. 11 bucks wasted altogether. I got a drgrip gel and it was short as hell for me. Then i got a dr grip cog and it was friggin shorter! I hate them both, i just ended up giving one to each of my parents lol. They liked them for work and stuff. <_<

OmegEn - March 8, 2007 06:41 AM (GMT)
I've got two ltd's now.
It's my backup pen.

ultimatsz - March 8, 2007 07:18 AM (GMT)
i want one!!!... =(

Webo_Splash90210 - May 5, 2007 04:45 PM (GMT)
I have a Pilot Dr. Grip thingy pen and I dunno what to mod it into. Any ideas? :dunno:

KRuq - May 5, 2007 04:50 PM (GMT)
Spin an unmodded Dr. Grip.

Webo_Splash90210 - May 5, 2007 04:52 PM (GMT)
Yeah I tried that. But I'm just wondering what I can do with it. I like to make mods just for the fun of it. Spinning it alone is ok, but I want to see what the other great spinners think of.

Ephem - May 5, 2007 04:53 PM (GMT)
Make a Dr.Kt :P

Can you give me the link to the tut please?

frisbee - May 5, 2007 05:02 PM (GMT)
You take two Dr. Grip tips & put them on the end of a double capped keityo sign pen held on with sailor gel grips. Chances are you don't have those though. If you want to do anything with your dr. grip, the easiest thing to do is to buy another one & put the metal tips onto a comssa or another double capped pen (hold them on with grips). You could also put an insert into your dr. grip underneath the grip.
