Title: Demon's Sonic & Twisted Sonic
Description: split from another topic

-- topic split from the Sonic 2x thread as it has moved into discussing the finer points of Demon's Sonic & Twisted Sonic.

Demon Sonic = Sonic 34-23 ~ Reverse Pass 23-12
Sonic 2x 34-12 = Sonic 34-12

Demon Sonic = Sonic 34-23 ~ Reverse Pass 23-12
Sonic 2x 34-12 = Sonic 34-12

Really??

i always conisdered it more of a

Sonic 34-23 ~ Twisted Sonic 24-12..... since it still has that circular motion....

@strat: not sure about other people, but I've never performed Demon's Sonic with the pen touching both the Middle and Pinky fingers. By the time the pen starts through the Pass Reverse motion, it's clear of the Pinky finger.

See if I get the notation correct:
Sonic 34-23 [p][s 0.5] ~ Pass Reverse 23-12 [s 0.5][c] > Charge 0.5 12

I just saw that I need a small Charge motion at the end to bring the pen into proper position. Hmm.

Edit: added the word "never." Now it makes sense. >_<

i guess it just depends on how you do the trick....

this is offtopic, but what is twisted sonic.

it's charge ~ pass reverse.

If you do "~ Twisted Sonic", meaning the twisted sonic without the beginning, what do you have left? Pass reverse.

actually, (to continue the offtopic theme), IMO, Twisted sonic =

charge .25 ~ Pass Rev .5 ~ charge .75

so therefore, ~ Twisted sonic leaves pass rev .5 and charge .75....

i think ill make a vid of this....

Zombo - May 8, 2007 12:11 AM (GMT)
the charge[p][s 0.25] is being implied as being the push for the twisted sonic

while the charge[s 0.75][c] part is being implied as being the catch for the twisted sonic.

well i made a vid, but i'll post it tomorro

There really are two ways to do demons sonic, palm up & palm down. I'm not sure how to notate, but palm up, its a hybrid of sonic clip & twisted sonic (Sonic clip 34 ~ Charge 24 ~ Pass reverse 24-12 maybe?) The other way, palm down, is sonic 34-23 to pass reverse 23-34.

dont tink so, demon sonic should be done very fast, I dont' think you stay in 24 very long.

I do it in one shot, all three 124 at the same time.

frisbee - May 8, 2007 01:08 AM (GMT)
Well it's done very fast. You can call it just a hybrid of sonic clip & pass or just sonic & pass, but I think that it qualifies as all 3 combined, because its really a sonic clip not a sonic (if its palm up) because you need to grab it between 2 & 4. Most people i think dont do this with a normal sonic. And if sonic clip is a hybrid of sonic & charge, then i think all the tricks are a part. Like sonic .25 ~ charge .25 ~ pass .5

If you do Demon's Sonic correctly, like how Zombo said: fast, it's all in one motion. Even palm-up, the pen bounces off of the Middle finger and rotates directly into the 12 slot. There is no time to handle the pen with the Middle and Pinky fingers if you position the Index finger correctly.

No i agree, but I think that applies only to palm down. I could be wrong on this one, but if you do it palm up (banz does this a lot, so do i) it goes the way I said. This could also just be a different hybrid (not called demon's sonic)

edit: Anyone have any advice for rev. demons sonic? Ive been trying to get demons sonic bust harmonic down for a whilte but its really hard to do the rev smoothly
