For a while ago the swedish penspinning community SweSpin had it's first birthday. to celebrate it, a collaboration was made. There are lots of new spinners from Sweden in this collab, I guess you won't recognize many of them. However, well-known spinners have also taken part of this collab.

Yiep has edited it, made it special by the beautiful pictures and by the music. The time lapse sequences in the intro and between the clips are supposed to symbolize the past year of SweSpin.
I think Yiep has done a terrific job.

Alan was probably my favorite spinner but a lot of them were impressive. High quality that I have come to expect from SweSpin. The camera quality on the other hand was a bit less impressive...

It's an old combo of FireFaith, he's not really active on the forum anymore ): Both H-J and Nandrix also used old clipps, wich is sad since I know they're better then that :/ Ålan's combo is also the favourite of many on SweSpin, and also of me :D And the camera quality... :( But imo it's quite alright as long as you watch it in it's original size.

You believe they are more entertaining. You're not being really constructive as well. Just saying the combos all look like each other isn't like.. helping them. You don't have to compare this to collabs of boards who are there for quite a longer time. 1 year isn't that much, I think you should be aware of that.

Look, it's not your opinion that's bad. It's the way you worded it. You make it sound like: "You guys suck, so away and never show your hands again." If you would have said that they should have worked on variety, it would have sounded so much better. =/ A person per person comment is usually a lot better than generalisation as well.

And this is exactly why I didn't want to post this collab on UCPSB, you don't get a shit out of it. Yeah, there are some good and nice combos, and some who have critisism at the most. But there allways is this jerk who come and flame everyone and the refuses to elaborate his thoughts.

Nothing really stood out for me except Zaazu's combo. It looked really pretty. I was expecting Yiep and Fook to show up but that didn't happen. =/ H-J's was kinda meh. But then again, it was an old video. I'm interested to know what he can do, since he has a lot of really cool pens.

I read his posts before they were deleted & I agree that Beng is a moron. He probably is very poor at spinning since he obviously was looking for gimmicky shit like palmspins & triangle pass incorporation instead of good quality, smooth spinning. While twisted sonic & bak spamming can make pen spinning boring, this was a very well done collab with a lot of good combos & i thing beng needs to gtfo if he hasn't already been kicked out.

Relax. All I'm saying is the more people try to finish their combos with palmspin 1.0 or incorporate a jerky triangle pass in the middle, the less impressive it becomes. They aren't gimmicky by nature but the vast majority of their use is.

no its because as long as a person sticks in one trick that is "unique" ie not a charge pass, bak or around, then their combo is automatically creative

I don't do it so that my combos are creative or to make them gimmicky those are just tricks I like. Maybe it would be better if everyone did them so they became less impressive and I could do them without some hasseling me, and more people would broadend thier horizons when it came to tricks and started doing less popular trick so we wouldn't see the same repeitive bullshit in every video like we see now adays, when everyone thinks charge > pass is the coolest thing in the world. Sorry if I like to break away from the norm and do my own thing, I guess you aren't used to people being thierselves, you should probably just go back to watching Mtv.

hey hey its nothing against the ppl who decide to stick an aerial or something random in their combo. im against the idiots who dont realize that beside the one unique trick, the rest of the combo is essentially the same. yet they praise it INFINITELY more than they would have if the combo didnt have ONE trick.
so yea jus to make sure you get ppl's votes you have to cycle between sticking an aerial/cont/palmspin/other random shit at least once in every combo. then you are obviously so much more creative

Even though I try to include palmspins, aerials, and counters in pretty much every combo I do lately, that isn't really one trick, and I am not saying I am good or anything. I know I suck. It just pisses me off that people think I use these types of tricks for a wow factor. They should actually try them, they are some of the funnest tricks in my opinion, and if they would actually take the time to learn them they probably wouldn't be able to stop doing them either.
I will continue to use tricks if people tell me they do like them though, since it is rare that anyone leaves me a positive comment, I actually try to please the people that like what I do as long as I like doing it too.

And that last post I made was directed more at frisbee incase you thought I was directing it at you fallen.

No matter what I do I will be ridiculed, if I do a combo with out these things then I am not creative enough, if I do a combo with something different in it then I am just trying to be "gimmicky" or trying to "get people's votes"

I've seen you spin strat & its not like you do this, with the combo making thread you and zombo just made you obviously know what youre doing. I've said nothing wrong.

-"Gimmicky" only refers to something that gets votes/appeal/kudos when used but doesn't involve real skill or thought or planning, etc. etc.
-It only feels gimmicky because you're not used to seeing it.
-Maybe people do feel like doing Twisted Sonic variations (or Charge > Pass). Not everyone is a sheep. It's just what they like to do.
-If everybody started doing aerials, then heck, more sheep.
