Title: Ps Resumé

Eso - May 21, 2007 02:10 AM (GMT)
Since there are more activities in the pen spinning world, and things are becoming more organized, I thought there might be a need for a way to weed out the not so professional people from the real professionals. If one spends the time to create a resume related to pen spinning, it would show that the individual is serious to get that position, whatever it may be.

Not only that, but this is good practice for writing real resumés in real life.

Um, I will make one later.

my resume is too long.

-moderator in UPSB
-administrator in UCPSB

that's the most important part.

Resumes aren't supposed to have everything. Accomplished people usually list past jobs relevant to the position they're seeking, or just list the more important ones.

Anyways, I'll make one later and post it up as a Word doc file.

I put in "Moderator for an online community" for part of my "extra curriculars" in my university application
Yeah I don't do too much outside of school other than music and basketball...

Oh, man. Making my resume brings back bad memories. When I had to look for a job in my co-op program in university, there was almost no point in trying because I didn't have past work experience. I put piano, math, and volunteer experience on my resume because I didn't have very many extracurricular activities. You almost absolutely have to get your first job through connections, because you usually can't get a job unless you have prior experience but you can't get experience until you get a job. For people who work at fast food restaurants and stuff during high school, even they have an advantage which I would consider unfair. Just because they made some money during the summer instead of, say, travelling, you're going to give them an advantage while screening resumes? BS, I say.

As for PS resume, I'm not sure what exactly I'd put on it. Maybe just "MVP", that's all people need to know. I can't remember what else I did. Projects I joined ended up failing; I was never a mod or anything like that. I just remember that I was a strong anti-spam advocate and a rep. for members at UPSB. I took time to talk to members outside UPSB and see how they felt about how the board was, as well as how they were doing. Oh, right, and I won 2 Kammys. And I hope to get some articles finished in the future here at UCPSB. That's about it!

this sounds peachy and all, but what positions would we be reaching for in the pen spinning world?

Zombo - June 6, 2007 04:58 AM (GMT)
most watched video? what was that for?

@tainted, you could be reaching for a moderator job, or research department, or any private group really...

Anyone who is taking these kinds of applications should already have a good idea who is good and who isn't.

I tried looking for the award this morning but I guess there's no logs of it or something. I do know it was for some Fundamental video. Either TA Rev or Sonic. I can't remember which.
