TurbulentTurtle - April 5, 2006 01:37 AM (GMT)
First one to ban your account
I liked Chuck's combo, it was sweet.
Didn't really like the music, but whatever, I just played mine over it.
xz64 - April 5, 2006 01:38 AM (GMT)
I was just gonna say Chucko's combo was smooth and sweet. The transition from Flashy to RandomNewb was cool and the arm bounce that RandomNewb did was cool also.
Donk3y - April 5, 2006 01:39 AM (GMT)
hahaha turb i did that too!
im thinkin techno needs to be included in collabs
or something a little less wordy
or less known
Leviathan - April 5, 2006 01:40 AM (GMT)
I liked DarkArchers combo. It was a nice introduction to the video.
Dark_Wolf - April 5, 2006 01:44 AM (GMT)

TurbulentTurtle - April 5, 2006 01:46 AM (GMT)

I am left handed, I just spin with my right hand.
Hahahha J/k
sketching - April 5, 2006 02:14 AM (GMT)
@xz64: I'm just so damn special, that I was only left-handed spinner allowed. :P
ChucKo - April 5, 2006 02:17 AM (GMT)
I'm surprised everyone did so well. I only had less than 24 hours to do it, so my combo was short. But it took me like a fricken hour to film.. whatever. good job everyone
fung, you must be very picky about music! music is nearly 40% of the experience. If the spinners have good combos but the music isn't right, then it's not good. Usually the music needs to have a very fast tempo with a steady beat. techno does wonders. Your choice, however, it acceptable. Not bad, but can be better
I like your transitions, and the credit at the end was an hilarious. Very nice job, I think your editing skills have improved greatly! In the Troy collaboration the names were written too closely to the pen. This time it’s much better! Thanks for spending the time to put this together. Now, onto the spinners:
In order from first to last,
DarkArcher- I really liked this video because you use some combos that I’ve never tried before. The leading video usually needs to be strong, and your combo fits it well. Good pick, Fung.
Memorable moment: that really quick switch from TA to TA reverse—Was it a counter TA or just a TA>FLTArev? Very nice, the sudden change in direction surprised me
DkGamer- That fingerpass down and up with the palm facing to the floor is nice… especially when the camera is right on top of the hand. Good choice! I like how you use FLTARev, instead of the TA harmonic.
Memorable moment: Shadow 12-23> TwistedSonic23-12> Figure 8. that was a nice touch
Donk3y—are you a new spinner? I haven’t seen you from the old forums. You combo is short, but more importantly, it doesn’t have rough parts. I’m assuming that you’re pretty new at spinning because I haven’t seen you before, so congratulations at getting the smoothness
Eriror—Your sonic reverse palmdown was very nice. The camera’s blurry quality combined with your spinning utensil creates a really sweet effect!
Memorable Moment: I gotta say that the reverse sonics looked really sweet
And the really smooth TwistedSonic34-23> Devil’s Around23-23> TwistedSonic23-12> Indexaround was REALLY GOOD
FireFaith—whoa, it’s a pink pen. You’ll be remembered for that, haha… I like your inverse sonics, but there wasn’t really a memorable moment. I’ll suggest you to use a different angle: inverse sonics are best seen from the inside of the hand, not from the side. I think you’ve improved a lot from the past
Ivan the Terrible—Infinity combo, speed and smoothness are the main focus, eh? I like the angle at which the camera is facing, but you needed to hold it with the other hand. People don’t understand how much complications that adds: I hope that you get a tripod soon, haha. Nice combo; I like the twisted sonics
Killsburydoughboy—I don’t think my left hand can beat you anymore. (if it ever had a chance) There was a really nice spin in there… was it a sonic12-12 spin? Too bad that it got semi-chopped.
Le0n—dude you were in the old forums, but I never got to know you well. I haven’t seen your old videos, so I can’t tell if you’ve improved or not. The shirt has a nice design, but it’s a little distracting. You at least have a smooth combo and ample lighting though. :)
Memorable moment: the pen transfer. A bit choppy, but it’s something unique that no one else did. Keep practicing that, alright? Nice job
Lunatik—I’ve never seen you before either. I’m assuming that you’re a newcomer? But your combo is pretty advanced for someone spinning in a short amount of time. The continuous twistedsonic> TA is a nice touch, but don’t overdo it. Keep up the good work. I like your continuous backarounds too
Quota—yet another new person that I’ve not met. Good air catch: your cooldown is really fast. That’s better than most people, who need a second or two to readjust the pen.
Memorable moment: Phya’s horn stall.
RandomNewb—Oh man where do these new people keep coming from, you’re very good for a newcomer (if you are one, haha)
Memorable moment: the wrist bounce thingy.. what’s the name? Very good, how many tries did it take for filming? Your cooldown can be improved though :)
Robert—not many unique tricks, I expected more from you! I liked the smoothness though, that and the stall/flick
Memorable Moment: the stall… you have to tell me the name to that. I’ve never seen it before
Scelus- another pink pen user. You can use a little more light, but the camera’s distance from the pen is very good. Seems like more and more people are using “horizontal” moves like the devils around and whatnot. You had some pauses in the TA harmonics, but besides that it’s pretty smooth. I liked the indexaround ending too
Sketching—it’s too bad that the video has such a low quality. Even with the drawback, I can still tell what you’re doing, so that’s good. You used decently advanced tricks many times… how many minutes did it take to film?
I’ll continue the rest in a different post, haha… gotta space it out
-Ko
DkGamer - April 5, 2006 02:19 AM (GMT)
well, its not really shocking, how often do you see left-handers as compared to right-handers?
And yeah, the video was good, the song was weird but overall, good job.
MY Favs,
RandomNewb - Great forearm bounce
Eriror - Real smooth
romainhxc - Fast and furious... lol...
Chucko - The comssa effect and the smooth spinning combines really well
Donk3y - April 5, 2006 02:20 AM (GMT)
maybe get some better quality in ur footage to inspire other lefties of the world...
:ph43r:

At some point I'll try to film outside, so I can get more light.
It took me about an hour just to film that. I completley suck at spinning in front of the camera, my hand sweats alot and makes the pen stick to my fingers. Grr.
Out of all the videos that I've shot, you would think that I'd get over it by now. Apparently my body still gets stage fright even though, in my mind, I'm not at all nervous.
And in the end, after an hour of spinning in front of the camera, I'm just angry.
CPC - April 5, 2006 02:48 AM (GMT)
What happend to my video?
I sent it to you and you said that you had it you even marked me as sending in my video on the other thread
Where is my video?

I was allowed, although I figured out I suck real bad on camera so I decided to relinquish my participation in the collab.
I have those same problems.
Eso - April 5, 2006 04:11 AM (GMT)
I really like this video. All the spinning is top notch and I kinda feel glad I didn't join otherwise I would ruin it lol.
On a side note, let's make a fundraiser... Buy sketching a new camera. While we're at it, I'd like one too. lol
Scelus - April 5, 2006 04:29 AM (GMT)
I don't like my combo because my level is in progress in this moment so it is not my really level in this video ...
Nice collab too , i liked Dkgamer, erriror and romain(my friend=) ) 's combo which were very smooth o_O
Joshy - April 5, 2006 04:31 AM (GMT)
CAN ANYBODY give me URL diretly to the movie???
I want to POST it at PENDOLSA so lots of people can see
WOW!!!!!!
NICE better than the FIRST ONE!!!!
I liked TurbulentTurtle wearing PDS WRIST BAND LOl
TurbulentTurtle - April 5, 2006 04:52 AM (GMT)
What can I say, I like to pimp that shit out.

Sonic Reverses? I guess... Rev. Inv. Twisted Sonics. :) And the part in the combo you meant was the Twisted Sonic Bust Rise, I assume.
To get to the main part, I watched this video at 50%, because it screwed up the quality of the videos, otherwise. :) Samewise with mine. -_-
I really liked Romain hxc's [although I've seen better], ChucKo's [smooth. o_O], and DkGamer's [nice ending. ^_^]
Keep it up, all!
Quota - April 5, 2006 04:57 AM (GMT)
ive yet to watch it cuz my download speed is real slow

fratleym - April 5, 2006 05:54 AM (GMT)
agh
I have sent a video a lot of time before the deadline T.T
Where is it???
huh...
but the collab is very nice IMO, very well done
I would like to be in it...
Yiep - April 5, 2006 09:53 AM (GMT)
Yah, nice stuf. Altough i agree with the feedback from ChuKo. The music was only aceeptable, didn't flow so good with spinning.
And after i read trough this thread i can see that some didn't got their vids in. Here's a useful tip: Allways reply the mail/PM with the video, and write it in the planningthread that they will get a reply when you got the vid.
Anyway, kickass collab, ChuKo's combo was awesome. It was a loong time i saw something that smooth with a Comssa from UCPSB/UPSB

yeah i know ... wrong angle and shit , i need to come up with somethin new ^^
killsburydohboy - April 5, 2006 11:15 AM (GMT)
Props to fung for editing. And as always Romain HXC's combo was amazing, so fast and all those palm down tricks, Robert your vid looked like an Ipod commercial lol, it was cool. Errior's amazing around style and speed is always great, and RandomNewb great wrist pop thing, that was amazing. I'm probably forgetting some stuff, but everybody did a great job on the collab.

um it seems that i have forgotten some videos in the collab i will be taking down the link and Re editing some stuff (i always forget stuff -___-) + change songs and yeah VERY SORRY lol i was just too busy and forgot ill do it RIGHT NOW
DarkArcher - April 5, 2006 12:47 PM (GMT)
Nice collab =). Dang, didn't know I was first and my index around got blocked =(. Anyway... yea good job. ChuKo's video was pretty professional, I liked it. Maybe the editing should have been done with the videos made smaller so it's clearer, cause it's all a little blur.
Ivan the Terrible - April 5, 2006 12:49 PM (GMT)
I really liked it!!
Congrats to everyone   !!
And chucko i didnt do a single twisted sonic ;) ;) . And yes im going for speed and smoothness. I do have a tripod, but i was too lazy to use it. And me same as sketching, i needed 1 hour to film that. When i dont spin infront of a camera i can do devils sonic and harder stuff, but infront of the camera i just cant. Mostly cause i want the vids be as most perfect that i can do.
And me to really liked Eriror's, Romain's, Chucko's and Darkarcher's combo. Hey Turb, did you change your style a bit or did you get so much better. Until now i didnt like your combo's too much.
edit: Hey darkarcher, your spinning and camera angle really reminds of the Koreans.
romainhxc - April 5, 2006 02:11 PM (GMT)
hey guys i ve just seen the vid.thank to fung for the editing and for adding me on the last minute and thanks for your congrats. randomnewb and chuko were very good so as eriror, real smooth stuff.DK's combo is my fav, real confident hands and consistant tricks ( plus he has the same kind of hands as fresh gel...cool!) too bad for sketching video quality but i know he s a good spinner anyway ;)
A_Qui - April 5, 2006 02:56 PM (GMT)
Good vid. I was surprised by the general level of the spinners, better than the 1st UCPSB collab.
ChucKo's vid is the best for me (very good quality, pretty smooth...btw, I love it).
DkGamer has a very good vid too. Great style
I added the collab on my blog:
http://ps-collabs.skyblog.com
Skatox - April 5, 2006 03:56 PM (GMT)
hey there ^^
Sympathic collab, though the spinning level was heterogenic, that makes a good collab to see and hear ( music was ok )
But the presentation wasn't very complete :( the intro just seems like...a bit dead :P
swisspinner - April 5, 2006 04:00 PM (GMT)
heyyyyy nice video!! when i will have time ill restart to do videos!! so that i can be in in many collab
cyaaaaaa
Robert - April 5, 2006 06:36 PM (GMT)
Yeah, i liked it, too.
But imo the music wasn't that great for ps... anyway good job :D
I got a breakdown for my combo:
| CODE |
rev Ta -> pseudo Sonic -> double Charge -> Pass 23-34-23 -> Sonic -> Neo Sonic 12-t1 -> fl Ta rev -> neoBak 12-34 -> demon's Sonic -> rev demon's Sonic -> demon's Sonic -> rev Charge 12 -> Pass 12-23-34-23 -> twisted Sonic -> rev Wiper -> Pass 34-23 -> (1/2) twisted Sonic -> SnapFlip 1.5 -> twisted Sonic -> (palm down) rev Charge 12 -> rev Pass 12-23-12 -> Back Around |
Eriror - April 5, 2006 06:59 PM (GMT)
Here's my breakdown, for the persons who are interested:
| CODE |
Starting From 0:46 [Twisted Sonic Combo]:
Inverse Twisted Sonic 23-12 --> Warped Sonic 12-23 --> Twisted Sonic 23-12 --> Pass 12-23-12-23-34 --> Demon's Sonic --> Inverse Twisted Sonic Fall --> Twisted Sonic Bust Rise --> ThumbAround --> Rev. FL. ThumbAround --> Rev. Inv. Twisted Sonic 12-23 --> Rev. Warped Sonic 12-23 --> Inv. Twisted Sonic Fall --> Inverse Twisted Sonic 34-23 --> Twisted Sonic 23-12 --> Pass 12-23-12-23-34 --> Twisted Sonic 34-23 --> Pass 23-12 --> ThumbSpin 1.5 |
There! :D
PS: Thanks for the idea, Robert. ;)
EDIT: Changed the breakdown a bit. Seemed I wrote my own combo wrong. ;)
