Hantricks already has this, it is a fake reverse middle finger variation.

Oh. Oh well.
Fake Reverse is a faulty name to me. I prefer to call it Flick. Because, if the pen goes around the thumb, what is it then? Fake Thumbaround Reverse?
xz64 - May 24, 2007 05:24 AM (GMT)
Perhaps it is ThumbAround Reverse Middle Finger Variation. (unless you think of Eriror's middle finger reverse TA in that video where he used only 2,3,4 (or T?))

Yeah i do the TA rev version a lot, its pretty cool because once you get good at it, it looks like theres no push at all, just a twitch of your fingers. But it sucks cause you cant catch it above 23 really
edit:
@xz64: It's not a TA rev middle finger variation, its a completely different push. The push comes from your middle finger moving outward, not in, this makes the pen rotate along its lengthwise axis in a way sending it backward. Flicked TA rev would be the name i would give it if any (for the around version)

Since the pen does not actually go around the Thumb and only does 0.5 (or 1.0) rotation, it would be a Halftap Reverse (Fulltap Reverse) T2-T2.
I believe that the 1.0 rotation variation is how Kam normally does his Fake Reverse.
Edit: if you do the TA Rev variation, I would stick with what I said in the PM:
Halftap Reverse T2-T1 [p] ~ Thumbaround Reverse T1-T12 [s 1.0][c]

I thought Faked Reverse used the push like a TA Rev, but just spins on top of T1 rather than going around the thumb. That's different from a Flick.
Eriror - May 24, 2007 06:05 AM (GMT)
I use to call the Fake Reverse version: Fake Reverse [Middle Flick] T2-T1 (most of the time)
And the ThumbAround Reverse version: ThumbAround Reverse [Middle Flick] T2-XY
Sfsr - May 24, 2007 07:06 AM (GMT)
I saw people before talking about TA T2-XY being hard, and now again, but I don't see how it's supposed to be hard :/ I got it right at the first try, feels just like doing a normal TA Rev. Well, almost atleast...

I thought you said you didn't know what trick I was talking about! D:
So if this is Fake Rev, then what is the trick where you push like a TA Rev, but it spins on top of T1?

That's actually the fake reverse. What you did is more like a variation of a reverse halftap because it only makes 0.5 spins. If it made 1.0 spins then it'd be a variation of the fake reverse.

Cool Trick. Cool Tutorial. Looks like a half Tap rev. but stylisher.
Skittlezzz - May 24, 2007 10:57 PM (GMT)

There was a thread on this trick before, just found it:
Fake ReverseEdit: I just merged the two threads, they both talked about the Middle finger push. Above link takes you to the merged thread.

hey.. this is the way i do TA reverse.. i cant do normal ta reverse smoothly..
JMember - May 26, 2007 08:24 PM (GMT)
-DaThroat: You must not call it ThumbAround Reverse then: Fake Reverse.
DaThroat - May 27, 2007 12:31 PM (GMT)
its a real reverse.. it goes 1 round.. its like fingerless rev TA but with some help from my mid finger..

then it's no fl ta rev ^^
And e.g. the Fake rev is called Fake rev an not a "variation of a TA rev" so why can this trick not can called Flick? :P

@JMember & PenFreak:
DaThroat said that he DOES do a Thumbaround Reverse with the Middle finger, flicked push. I repeat, he actually DOES do Thumbaround Reverse. He just doesn't do the usual, Index finger push.
He is saying that his Thumbaround Reverse LOOKS SIMILAR to a Fingerless Thumbaround Reverse because he also uses alot of hand motion, which makes sense if he uses the flick motion. His Middle finger moves outward a bit, along with his hand, to get the pen moving. That would be a finger push (Middle finger) along with hand motion.
In conclusion:
1. DaThroat did not mention anything about Fake Reverse.
2. His Thumbaround Reverse uses the flick motion of the Middle finger.
3. It also uses hand motion that makes it look like a FL TA Rev, but it isn't.
