Bye B)
Second Roundhere are the requirements
http://p210.ezboard.com/fsuperhandzfrm127....opicID=36.topicAlright guys here's the Second round video, the theme is perching and this routine taught me a lot, especially how to get angry, and deal with it poorly (throwing stuff against the wall, including the deck, ripping things in half, including cards, pulling my hair out etc..)..
I'm terribly dissatisfied with it, and even though I still have all day to re shoot it, I decided to just send in this one, vuz I'm sick with this round already, was sick with it a week ago actually, and somehow managed to keep practicing..
next round I won't try and do so many aerials that I never tried before and somehow hope that i'll be able to learn them in 3 weeks tongue.gif
anyway here it is
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSxAXvlfQ4QI hope de'vo takes his time before he announces the next round theme, I could use a rest
Third round here are the instructions

Nice skillz, and a trippy finish!
Rorix - June 2, 2007 11:25 AM (GMT)
Loved the disappearing guitarist!
Tim - June 2, 2007 01:04 PM (GMT)
Nice tricks. How long did they take you to learn?
Eriror - June 2, 2007 01:23 PM (GMT)
I do hope you realise your video is 3 seconds too long.
you know what I think of it, though. ;)

Yeah i was also wondering if that trick he did behind his back was a cut or not?
Mind you i have 0 knowledge of XCM xD
Awesome though! *vjealous*
Tim - June 2, 2007 01:31 PM (GMT)
Yeah I just noticed that too, hope your still in. I really need to learn how to do a simple fan. They look easy but you need instructions on how to do then. That flipping the cards over on your arm was really wicked too.
Edit: The thing I noticed was the time restriction. I noticed the cut but I didn't think that mattered much, plus I also know 0 for all I no it could've have been a fan
ShoeMan - June 2, 2007 02:05 PM (GMT)
Thanks everyone love you all :)
the last move behind the back wasn't a cut, it was a one handed faro shuffle. The cards are interlaced into each other, like the poker guys do with the poker chips, then waterfalled :). Sure that the cards have to be cut in order to be shuffled, but the main move isn't the cut, so it's okay :)
I've been doing xcm for a year give or take, But I know more moves then the one you just saw, I don't know how long exactly did these moves took me to learn.
If you want to learn xcm I'd recommend going through tutorials at youtube and if you like it, buy Xtreme beginnerz and the encyclopedia of playing card flourishes :)

Lol i'm such a walking talking typing commercial, but seriously these products are the best

The vids are IN!
Here are my 3 "Spot-Light Videos" - These videos stood out from the rest... but keep in mind that this does not necessarily mean that they won. Just that they stood out in one way or another, and videos I'd like to highlight.
Spotlight #1 - Max321 - media.putfile.com/2007-XC...-1-No-Cuts I chose this video because... well, you'll see why.
Spotlight #2 - ShoeMan2 - www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSpSg3iMXC4 I chose this video because, well, I plain haven't seen a video like this before...:lol Definately stood out! Great job Shoeman2! That's certainly different!
Spotlight #3 - Dinosdinou - www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDByic29KV4 – I chose this video because he's new on these boards, and has allot of potential in this Tourney. |
Good job. ;)
ShoeMan - June 3, 2007 02:57 PM (GMT)
WOW I wasn't expecting that!
It's good taking chances every once in a while I guess :P
Thanks Eriror for noticing and posting it here, so I don't need to post it myself and be seen as a show off
AzNwAr3oR - June 17, 2007 04:35 AM (GMT)
Wow thats pretty cool.. I would start if I wouldn't have to do 52 card pick up every 5 seconds...
Health - June 17, 2007 10:22 AM (GMT)
Start with simple cuts, after reading this thread i went and followed some really basic stuff on youtube, like pivot cuts and stuff.
Check it out! :P
Also - wtg shoeman :D
Sathon - June 17, 2007 06:22 PM (GMT)

TiNY - June 19, 2007 02:00 AM (GMT)
Don't know if you care, but I you went up 31.78 notches in my book...
Why that number? No one knows...
FTW
FlyinAsian - June 19, 2007 03:06 AM (GMT)
That was, well pretty cool, no seriously.
DaThroat - June 21, 2007 01:54 PM (GMT)
why is it 'no cuts'? is anyhow cut spamming considered easy?
ShoeMan - June 21, 2007 08:25 PM (GMT)
no but every round there has to be a theme like no cuts, perching, table work, originality, live performance, tribute to the masters etc,,
btw next video due on Monday and the theme is perching :)
DaThroat - June 22, 2007 12:08 PM (GMT)
i see. in that case i can't wait for the round with cuts. i always thought cuts at high speeds with many packets were cool.
ShoeMan - June 25, 2007 04:50 AM (GMT)
Alright guys here's the Second round video, the theme is perching and this routine taught me a lot, especially how to get angry, and deal with it poorly (throwing stuff against the wall, including the deck, ripping things in half, including cards, pulling my hair out etc..)..

ShoeMan - June 26, 2007 01:43 PM (GMT)
Thanks dudes..
dathroat - Lol it was one card and it was reverse pass 12-32-34, fingerpassing a card in known in xcm as "card twirl" or "card roll"
ShoeMan - June 27, 2007 04:48 AM (GMT)

DaThroat - July 16, 2007 10:47 AM (GMT)
the only thing i can say is i really, really liked it.
your video just flowed together so well. i liked the cuts and the fans best.
surprisingly i wasn't bored to see the things you did in the manipulations collab one more time.
it seemed alot shorter than normal? maybe its because i liked it so much and can't get enough of the stuff.
