Judge 1:

Katto d(^.^)z:

Difficulty: 3/5
Speed: 4/5
Smoothness: 4/5
Creativity: 3.5/5
Variety: 3.5/5
Filming: 4.5/5

Total: 22.5/30

Not the most difficult or creative combo, but it had really good pace and decent smoothness.

000

Difficulty: 3.5/5
Speed: 3.5/5
Smoothness: 3.5/5
Creativity: 3.5/5
Variety: 3.5/5
Filming: 3.5/5

21/30

The combo as a whole was mediocre, so there was nothing really outstanding about it at all. The hand was in a really bad position for the first half of the video, making it hard to see each trick.

Judge 2:

Katto d(^.^)z:

Difficulty: 3/5
Speed: 3.5/5
Smoothness: 3.5/5
Creativity: 2.5/5
Variety: 3.5/5
Filming: 4.5/5

Total: 20.5/30

Difficulty was a little lacking, creativity was hurting pretty bad. Was ok speed and smoothness, though some transitions were a little sketchy. Variety and filming were good.

000:

Difficulty: 3.5/5
Speed: 3/5
Smoothness: 3.5/5
Creativity: 4/5
Variety: 4/5
Filming: 4/5

22/30

Not a bad combo. Decent difficulty, smoothness, variety and filming. Speed was a bit slow and it was moderately creative. A different angle would have earned it that extra filming point though.

Judge 3:

Wow... What the hell got the 000 such a high creativity score?

Eburt - June 2, 2007 11:37 PM (GMT)
average of 3.5 for creativity... which is basically average for these battles. Nothing amazing... I noticed some strangle transitions and I guess you could argue that the angle was creative.

and........ that's why my new rating system is relative. Judging on a objective scale is just silly, all that matters is how good you fare against the other. There's no point in judging on some arbitrary scale on 5.

yes, but your system is also harder to use (not by much) and would require a transition... I guess I'll open a poll to see if it should be changed.

ok just use the very very stripped down version of my rating:

take the same criterions:

Difficulty
Speed
Smoothness
Creativity
Variety
Filming

and judge using +/- 3.

Then add all those together (no weights or formula) and see what you get.

Jeez. That's all I have to say.
