i can do reverse inverse triple charge in the dark but i keep dropping every other thing i try to do
xz64 - June 15, 2007 05:13 AM (GMT)
Try to keep a mental track of the balance of your pen (i.e. if it's far away from your fingers or not.) That should help. You also should have a natural feel for the trick.
DaThroat - June 15, 2007 06:30 AM (GMT)
stuff which is based on feel, i can.. but other stuff which i haven't really mastered yet like thumbspins and spreads get difficult in the dark..
xshadowfire - June 15, 2007 06:41 AM (GMT)
that's like asking if you can spin without looking at your hand...and that's normally a yes, isn't it?
sketching - June 15, 2007 08:19 AM (GMT)
I can't do everything, but I can do plenty of what I know in the dark.
Jugs - June 15, 2007 09:09 AM (GMT)
I can........easy
But backfall..........i can't
HuroniX - June 15, 2007 10:58 AM (GMT)
I can, but for some reason, when I practice a move in the dark, in the light, it seems easier
Ivan the Terrible - June 15, 2007 12:27 PM (GMT)
I can but I might have some problems with harder stuff like ringarounds, bakfalls and cont. stuff, ...
Spinning in front of a mirror is simmilar to this
Eso - June 15, 2007 01:01 PM (GMT)
If I ever find myself in the position of spinning in the dark, it had better be with a girl. In which case, forget spinning in the dark.
Yes, I can spin in the dark. No aerials and neobaks though.
UnEmploymentDude - June 15, 2007 01:13 PM (GMT)
Ya, like sketch, Most stuff.
Dark Angel-REX - June 15, 2007 01:14 PM (GMT)

Alucard - June 15, 2007 01:14 PM (GMT)

Like xz64 said, most of us keep a mental feeling of a trick or where our fingers are placed on our pen at the time of a trick. Just close your eyes and focus on what your hand is doing and where your fingers are at. I spin in the dark completely fine, sure I drop it time to time, I'm not perfect but I do find it easy.

For some reason huh? I wonder what that reason could be. :ssst:
Dr1v37h38u5 - June 15, 2007 02:41 PM (GMT)
the only things i can' do in the dark are continuous tricks and aerial hand transfers (leigun, etc)
sometimes i can do aerials, like backhand bounce, etc...
lefty101 - June 15, 2007 02:43 PM (GMT)
its like spinning with your eyes closed
i can do most tricks B)
Recoil.30 - June 15, 2007 07:11 PM (GMT)
Assuming closing your eyes is close enough as there isn't enough darkness handily available where I am, then yes, I can.

for some reason, I have no idea what you're saying :?
Eso - June 15, 2007 07:59 PM (GMT)
I think he means that there isn't complete darkness where he lives, so the next best thing to complete darkness is closing your eyes. In which case, it is. Or closing your eyes and putting on a blindfold. While spinning a burning Comssa.
pollyman90 - June 16, 2007 04:50 AM (GMT)
I can spin in the darkness, I still do sonic! I still do pen spinning tricks! It ownsssss! :)
Webo Splash - June 16, 2007 05:02 AM (GMT)
Well if you can spin without looking in the light Im sure you can spin in the dark. And it depends on what I spin whether it's combos, freestyles, and single tricks
Ephem - June 16, 2007 10:54 AM (GMT)
Quite funny acctually, at one point, you no your pen so well you can spin with your eyes closed and now exactly where it is when it drops.
I can do most of the tricks I can do with my eyes open, if not all.
przemo - June 16, 2007 01:02 PM (GMT)
In the dark I can do almost all tricks B) but not so smooth as in the light
Selrach - June 16, 2007 01:03 PM (GMT)
Well I can spin in the dark, I fink it's quite easy . B)
spinneur83 - June 16, 2007 01:47 PM (GMT)
I can't easily spin in the dark but I can do some tricks ! B)

Yep, pretty much. I don't really have a way with words.
kasra12321 - June 16, 2007 08:03 PM (GMT)
Yeah, i can spin in the drak. In fact, i did my first bakfal int he dark.
instantnoddles - June 16, 2007 08:06 PM (GMT)

K4S - June 17, 2007 12:39 AM (GMT)
all the fundy's...thats about all i can do in the dark.
blackhero - June 17, 2007 12:43 AM (GMT)
Its not that hard, since I spin mostly by my feeling. So I can spin with my eyes closed like normal, (every tricks i know how to do except for ariels)
cant explain better than that lol ==
Asian Tim - June 17, 2007 01:03 AM (GMT)
NaturesWonder - June 19, 2007 12:30 AM (GMT)
yes its pretty easy. Some tricks are just easy and don't require much positioning.
k2thez - June 19, 2007 12:49 AM (GMT)
It's really easy to pen spin in the dark. You pretty much just have a feel for the tricks you've mastered. It's only a hassle when you drop the pen.
TurbulentTurtle - June 19, 2007 01:15 AM (GMT)
If you spin enough, it shouldn't actually be too hard to spin in the dark/without looking at your hand. It's all muscle memory after a while and if you do combos you're familiar with, you shouldn't have any problems.
I wouldn't suggest learning new tircks in the dark, for obvious reasons...
Someone could come up and steal your pen when you drop it.
SwiftBolt - June 19, 2007 04:38 PM (GMT)
Yeah.. I can spin in the dark too... I learned almost all of my tricks based on feeling and how the weight is distributed throughout the pen and my fingers... ever since I got a luminous comssa... it kidna changes that fact, but yeah. Almost all of my spinning is by feeling.
MRavioli - June 19, 2007 09:09 PM (GMT)
i can, as long as you can 'feel' the position of the pen u can basically do anything...
