So you guys problem know that we have a server for the podcast. The thing is, when we don't have a podcast, what could we use the server for?

I want several djs and make a schedule of some sort. Then people can just tune in at that time to listen to some music or have a talk about PS or whatever.

To become DJ you need:

-To be able to host a "show" every week. A show is 30 minutes to 1 hour long.
-Music to play AND/OR be Able to talk about about PS topics. If you play music, I want a theme for the music played. Example: "Dance music", "Music from Pen Spinning", "Music for France", etc...
-A good Internet connection (2 mbit +).
-Be on the board during the show to receive requests.
-Of course if you play music, you can still animate a little show with music in-between, just like a real radio.
-A microphone, if you want to talk.

BTW, I'll tell you the instructions on how to connect to the server, etc.

I'm not looking at filling a whole schedule up but having shows here and there would be nice.

If you want to be a DJ, PM me with the following:

-Content of your show: PS or music? What "theme"?
-Time slots: What are you availabilities.

And I PM you with instructions on how to run the show.

I will myself run some music starting from about 7PM (thats in 20 minutes). All you have to do to listen is connect using:

Why dont you setup a ventrilo server or something and host the radio feed off it? Im not sure how that works exactly but ive seen it done >_>

Then you can have loads of people talking over the radio if you want, and so on.

Nah, i know another radio station that host their radio off the vent, the dj's just chill in vent and talk to people about MMO's and so on.

I had to go on there for a CS interview haha. and then later Warrock.

im not sure what you mean though, like the radio is a "user" inside in the Vent constantly streaming on top of ppl speaking? how can they even hear themself talk...

I think he streams it out, and then adds another stream for his mic himself, because there is an echo in vent, but not an echo on the radio.

Every saturday (where there's no podcast), Lordbojo and firebird will be hosting a talkshow, starting from july. The length of the show is indeterminate (1 hour max) and relies on audience participation (ask questions in the chat).

Topics will range greatly and won't be limited to PS.

Tuesdays: firebird at 7:30PM with classical music.
Wednesdays: FlyinAsian at 7:00PM with Alternative music.
Saturdays: firebird & LordBojo at 3:00PM on non-podcast days with a talkshow.
Sundays: LordBojo at 7:00PM with Indie music.

In addition I will host 2 more shows; one on metal, one on asian music during the weekdays.

We're still looking for more DJ's though. Doesn't matter you if you don't know how to stream, I'll give you all the tools that you need.
