RSVP Type C tutorial
This mechanical pencil is a little longer than and heavier than MX. COG is very close to COP.
Spins great. I prefer lighter pens so it is a little heavy to me.
Pens needed.
RSVP
2 G2 Mechanical pencil
profile grip
1. Cut area past barrel to a little less than 2.5 cm.

2. Drill out inside of RSVP barrel where grip use to be so that the G2 tube can fit through it.
3. (a) Get a piece of G2 barrel cut it so that it is 1.3 cm sand the outside of this down cause the grip will fit over this area. ( b ) Take back part of G2 apart and take the part that looks like the piece on the right out and cut it so that is 2cm(without the eraser in it).

4. Drill a hole in the RSVP back piece big enough for G2 tube to go through.
5. The piece shown below without tube should be cut to 3cm.

6. Take a piece of G2 tube from second G2 that should be cut to 3.8cm and tape to the tube shown in Step five like pic below.

7. Wrap tape around the end of the piece in step 5 and step 1. Stick these in the G2 piece you cut in step 3. Tape should be so that it will stay tight.

8. Put back piece on over tube. Take the piece from the right on Step 3 and put it in end.

9. Cut RSVP grip .7cm and put it over the area in the pic of step 8 like you would do an MX and put cap on.
10. Add profile grip and insert and thats it.
It is the one on top.

Here is vid to see it working.

Great! This and the spinmatic are the best mp mods that i have seen by far. *sigh* K4S, if only you released tutorials for your mods...... <_<

i think hong kong is really difficult to buy G2 mechanical pencil, do u have any nice ideas to replace the g2 mp?

G-2 Mechanical pencil looks like a one-of-a-kind pencil to me, so I don't think you'll find a replacement.
It's a little hard to see the pictures but it looks cool nevertheless.

I can't think of a replacement but now that I have a better understanding of modding mechanical pencils I am trying to think of a better mod that uses common pens and is easier to make.
Hopefully I can get better pics up when I borrow my friends digital camera.

wonderful! I was wondering what I'd do with all my G2 mechanical pencils (I actually have a whole bunch of 'em). Thanks for the tut, and great mod.

what do you mean by " Drill out inside of RSVP barrel"

I believe that he means that you need to make the opening in the tip of the RSVP barrel wider, because the G2 ink tube will not fit inside by default, it's too wide. You need to make the RSVP barrel thinner by removing material from the inside.

I have questions:
Is it balanced?
Is it a retractable rsvp?
Do you really need a profile grip?
CPC - October 17, 2007 08:12 PM (GMT)
It has nice balance.
It is a mechanical pencil.
Profile grip is not required but it seems to work the best for me.
Edit: Have you seen the new pen spinning forum. It is where the majority of the people are

I meant before the mod. Is the RSVP pen is retractable or you need the one with the cap that you can get off of the pen.
CPC - October 18, 2007 01:26 PM (GMT)
Oops
The RSVP pen is not retractable. No retractable RSVP is used in this mod. It is just a regular RSVP.
