Pretty disappointed with the turn-in rate. As you can see we have only ONE complete match (TSX vs SwS).

At this stage I have pretty much lost all motivation in pursing this tournament. If it's going to end up like the catastrophe that is the PSL, I'd rather stop now.

I will talk to each team so see what they honestly think about their commitment to this tournament and evaluate if the issue can be resolved. I will try to adjust the format to make it more efficient and easier to handle to avoid such pitfall.

However, I'm reluctant to adjust the rules of this tournament on the fly, I would rather write the new rules and make the necessary preparations for the eventual World Cup (team-based World Tournament with one team of each board).

Or we can just call team-spinning a flop and never bother with it again.

The first round is basically just whether you submitted or not. The scores of this first round is very inaccurate, and if the tournament is to be continued, i think should be scratched off.

I'm really dissapointed like the Zombo (and probably everyone else) that no one turned in their videos... I was actually expecting Spowash to win the tourney, but that got shot down pretty quickly...

just to let everyone know, (as eso was referring to in his post), my internet went down yesterday. I have all the videos, and i tried to submit them to zombo as soon as my internet came back up, but it was past the deadline.

Well guess what, even if we do win this round, what the hell is the point ?

Try to understand me, I'm REALLY pissed off, I worked for HOURS on end on my vid, like many other people in my team, we worked NON stop ! Sometimes even until 3AM ! And what happens ? No one sends in their videos...

It may be extreme, but it's EXTREMELY the truth !

Well, this was an awesome opportunity for me, as I had never had to film under pressure before. I put a good amount of time into my portion of me and Kasra's video even if my spinning wasn't fantastic. I'm really proud of our video and I think it turned out nicely. It's a shame Strat's internet died, cause I know at least 4/5 of us filmed. Zombo + Crash, I really appreciate you guys setting this up, it was a great experience for me, and I too am disappointed at the lack of videos. I was really looking forward to this tournament progressing and seeing how various teams matched up against each other. Even if you are ultimately upset at the turnout, know that you made this spinner very happy.

I will talk with Crash and decide what we do with this tournament.

Glad you guys liked our video. Some of you may have noticed my skill level has gone down substantially, and there is no one to blame but me. I lost my Ballsign mod (A mod i have gotten VERY used to) and reverted back to a simple but classic bictory.

The mod i spin in this video is a simple bictory with grips at the end.

i was one of those people who was supposed to film but didnt. sure i had a legit reason, i guess as much as anyones- 2 weeks ago i left for rome on a trip and didnt get back til yesterday. BUT i told my captain, and he understood and had short assassin film for me.

btw- sickest. transfer between videos. ever.

all things said- is there any way we can get some kind of recognition from other boards that their teams were wrong in not turning in, and should have submitted something? i think this should go on. we all know that round 1... failed. to say the least.

but i think everyone had (and hopefully still has) high hopes for the tournament, and wants to see it go on. i will personally make sure that i get my video in next round, and i know that no one wants to see the tournament shut down because they, along with everyone else, didnt submit.

regardless, thanks everyone especially zombo for the effort put in and videos filmed. i think we need to try a round 2. and if no one submits there... well then we´ll call it quits. but i think we all want it to go on :) its too new and good to give up already

I'm really impressed by zblader, Asian TIm+Toast, Eriror, fitzgerald, ShortAssassin+Kasra, and dongza's vids. Incredible progress from the last time I've seen them spin.

then it should have been Scelus's responsability, as the manager, to properly coordinate and motivate his team and inform them of the deadline.

I was very impressed by the creativity of doubles spinners. If the "team spinning" tournament idea fails, I think that at the very least the ideas of "doubles" matches is worth pursuing.

The scores are just those caused by non-submission.

Agreed, all of the doubles vids are sexy in my opinion. And imagine the transfers people would come up with if this became more popular.
