I am currently going to start a Pen Spinning Wiki, much like psconclave.com, but this one, in several languages, starting with french and english.
The address will be PenSpinZone.Net

Everyone will be able to access it and modify elements to make it better, with more and more accurate information.

I am still in planning stages, but I need AlloPass codes to pay the domain and the hosting, I will pay some, but I can't pay all.

So if anyone has any ideas, contributions or such, please post here, and if you can give me a AlloPass, please send me a PM.

So am I to understand that you talked to mats? Did you get a backup of PSC?

If you are reopening with all the PSC content I would happily help pay for the hosting. I think that PSC was one of the best things to ever happen to PS. Make sure you add a donate button when you get it up :P

I'd just like to say that i think its great if we can revive PSC, but I think the run of PSC showed that the pen spinning community was not very receptive of a wiki format. It does create a standard to build articles on, but every time I checked recent changes and top editors lists I was reminded that the actual content was still primarily proprietary, and even going so far as to fall into a pattern where one editor would get tired and an incoming editor (Sketching) would find himself almost alone. I'm not saying I won't welcome and continue work on a pen spinning wiki, but I wish that the same community who feel that PSC was so useful would feel more compelled to make use of it as a wiki and less as an encyclopedia. I would rather see a little vandalism than the old edits to page views ratios.

O and I hope my name is still familiar... I m kind of coming back from an unannounced vacation.

I think that now we all understand how useful and great it is, more people will help out and create/update articles..I know I will..

@JinFX: first off, good to hear from you again. :)
I hope that PSConclave will be able to open again, rather than a new wiki be started. Even there was a way to copy the old info to a new home, I would assume it would be a lot of work. Even more so to build a new one from scratch.

Well over about a two year span I had about a hundred posts here too, but I guess my post count had always been small anyway.

Imagine how much Elliot had to do to get PSC off the ground, simply organization and article wise. I guess we'll just have to see what they put together.

Is multiple languages going to be completely independent sets of wikis, with corresponding articles linked?

not sure how easy it is to extract info... also not sure if anyone has more useful backups of psconclave but archive.org has a pretty good cache of the site at:

The two things I look for are not archived. I am sincerely thankful nonetheless.

I still think this new one is a better idea since it will be internationnal.

Nice project, I'll gladly help on anything needed and I would also be interested in contributing for the Portuguese version of the wiki. So if you need anything I'll try to help on what I can :grin:

To create a page, you have to search for whatever you want to create and then it will say, "There is no page titled ':search'. You can create this page." Click create this page to make it.

Geh, I fail at the wiki system. There was no page for Fundamental Tricks, so I created one. Then I realized there was a Fundamental Tricks category. Wo only need one of them, and that's the Fundamental Tricks category, right?

I think those who are skilled at wiki code should make the template pages before we get to carried about. At least a temple for tricks and one for families/catagories right now.

I'm trying to make some templates for tutorials like the old PSConclave. I'm no expert at wiki markup though.

Well, I wanted to post to say thanks, you guys are really helping this project work, especially Sfsr and Xz64, it's realy nice of you guys, hope more people contribute and this Wiki becomes full and has everything anyone would need in it

Problem is I've never updated a Wiki before, so I don't know how to make pwetty thingies :/
