With the new opening of the ladder I have been considering the removal and dismantling of the Elite Six. This is largely because the ladder provides the same purpose (ranking spinners) but it does not only provide for UCPSB's top six, but any whom are interested. Another reason is that some of the six are innactive. And lastly the judging has had some changes and problems recently, but it did fix itself rather quickly it seems.

On the other side I have recieved a lot of challenges and interest in the Elite Six recently, so it really wouldn't be fare to dismantle it without public oppinion. Also it can be rather fun, and I guess there may be some merrit in having an "Elite" group. Of course this could also be negative.

Please discuss to help me decide. (Note, I have no problem doing this, its very little work, it just seems repedative and unnecessary now, so don't consider my work when voting.)

i see where your going with this eburt, and maybe you should dismantle it.
but if their is still a significant amount of people interested in the elite six that would upset them after dismantling it, then i just suggest improving and updating the elite six.
otherwise, dismantling would be the best option.

Yes, thats kinda what I'm trying to get at. Is there a significant number of people who would still be interested in the ES even with the league around. In other words would you do both or simply participate in the league?

well maybe make a requirement of some sort, to participate in the league first, before challenging elite six? kind of like raising the bar for anyone who wants to challenge the elite six? just a thought.

maybe.... but whats even the point then if they're participating in the league, I mean wouldn't the top 6 of the league effectively be the Elite Six (except active :P)?

maybe merging? that way, the top 6 would be the.. top 6 in the league. sort of redifining of what we know as the elite 6. i believe thats the most effective way on these terms. and for those who are inactive in the elite six now, tough luck? huge respect for them, but those are the actions they took, and now someone else has the oppurtunity to relieve them of therye position.

Well the only merging that we could really do is to dismantle and then those whom wished (I'd send PMs even to the inactive members) could join the league. They'd have to fight for their position, but if they really are the best that shouldn't be a problem and it would keep things fair...

I don't see any problem considering the top 6 of the league, the "Elite Six", provided certain criterions are met (minimum number of matches played)

make the current ES the top of the ladder, still call them the ES, but incorperate it as part of the ladder.

Why dissmantle? Just leave it as a "plaque" or something.

damn a lot of people who batttle against 000...me and levi doing a lot of work..u can't dismantle..in the next moths there will a great war in the elite six ..u can trust..me and levi have decided to battle a bit and to move up this tourni..pleaseeee don't dismantle :(
