My first pass

That's probably my best accomplishement. Now that I stopped playing stepmania, I lost my skills.

Watching it again now, I can't believe how much I've already improved. I'll probably make another video soon.

Now I haven't tried it yet, but is it more better/comfortable/easier to use the default arrow keys or use the letter keys like zx, etc.? Because I've noticed you can't press all four arrow keys at once and I've got a couple of simfiles that require all four to be down at some points.

Try out different finger positions and play with the one you're most comfortable with. Having 4 fingers on the 4 arrow keys is definitely bad because there's not enough space for your fingers. I would suggest something like zx./ or left down numpad8 numpad6.

On second thought, maybe I didn't really loose my skills.. I just played this and was surprised at the number of times my combo went over 100. One star = A

I just play FFR, its easier and no DL's needed ...

Whats with the Note thing in the settings? Is it just the style of the arrows?

How do you get the arrows in the center of the screen? Also, how do you get the combo counter smaller? I see it really small in some of Eriror's videos, but I can't figure out how to do it.

@nexus: If you are musically involved, note arrows really help. red arrow is a quarter note. blue is eighth. yellow is 16th. and orange is 32nd
This really helps you follow the music and stay on time better

Oh Sweet, thanks for this Eriror, I just got into Stepmania and for me it's way harder than DDR, so I'll be looking for tips and stuff. And I suck at finding song packs <_<

Okay, first of all, what are C mods and how do they help? Cause I started playing at that C400 thing in the menu, and I'm kinda getting better. I think...

I suck at jacks and trills, so a B is really good for me.

ok yea i got some songs downloaded, but does anyone know how to install them from a download manager?

a download manager is an app. that lets you manage your downloads better. but the only way to activate download is by double clicking it.
and i cant double click it because its a file. so im stuck.

not sure haha X3 try right clicking and saveing Oo

Just re-download and open it with the smpackage option.

You can also change it into a .zip file and unzip it. Though the first is easier.
