The Story:

"Zombo is the president of UCPSB Laboratories, a company whose mandate is the research and development of pen spinning. One day, one of the security guards catches a worker attempting to illegally sneak a mp3 player out of the building. Upon interrogation, Zombo discovers that he is an identity thief who has stolen the identity of the worker he is impersonating. The impostor also confesses that he is part of a group devoted to the ruination of pen spinning, and that they will even kill if necessary to execute their directives. This induces Zombo to call a staff meeting and explain the situation. Now the workers have to expose the frauds before they leak all of UCPSB's information to opposing parties, or worse, before they themselves are killed!"

I need about 12 players. I will be picky in my selection of the players to ensure smooth and active gameplay.

Please only sign up if you KNOW you're going to be active starting from the beginning of the game. Don't just pull out at the last minute.

To make it CLEAR that you want to join, write "/in" in your post. If I have to guess what your intention is, I'll guess negative.

In addition, write a short paragraph explaining why you should be part of the game. I want players that are active (post every in-game day), witty and respects the rules. Knowledge of the rules is required. Past mafia experience is a bonus.

Why I want to join Because I havent joined the last game. The Mafia Game seems fun and Im always on UCPSB everyday so I can be very active. It'd be a good experience to play the mafia game. #2 looked hella fuckin fun and I wanted to be a part of it. I will be respectful to each player and follow the rules as crisp as I can. Hopefully I can be a part of this experience for #3. If you think this isnt a good enough paragraph for me to be accepted then I guess that's life. But I want to join this somehow. So yeah. Hopefully Zombo is in a good mood for me to be in one of the 12 people. :lol:

I think thats pretty clear, but just in case its due to my trip to Japan, and I won't be back until august 5th...

Why: I participated in the first two and loved them. I've been looking forward to this, and was actually hoping that it would start shortly after my return... but you guys will probably want to get underway ASAP. Besides, I did get the godfather killed, even if I screwed up a few details as Firedird pointed out.

I followed the first mafia game, and particpated in the second one. I was pretty active and nearly ended up winning. So, I definitly would like to be in another game.

the idea of a theme is to using something everybody on the board is familiar with so it gives a fair chance for people to know what a good role is.

Eriror, how long is the gathering? If it's one day, I'm sure Zombo will cut you some slack and allow you not to post that day. Plus, days in the game usually take a couple of real days or longer.

I think we need to start the game August 1st, because American members will be returning to school mid/late-August and it'll get difficult to play. We have 12 members signed up now but Eburt wouldn't be playing. So the first person to sign up on the replacement list (next person who signs up) would get this spot.

i think we can spare 4-5 days for Eburt to return, a 12 players game is pretty fast and can be done within a month.

Mafia game variations are a very common thing in my school and I played in some of them. I'm not really sure how "good" I am in this game, but I'm willing to give it a shot and try it out.

real mafia is different from internet mafia, I suggest you read the flash.
