Well in a newbie's point of view, his/her best guess would be, well, a dead horse, and someone using some sort of, of mallet, not really a hammer, but a mallet, made of wood, made by a good craftsman, who is killing a horse, a brown horse, much like a chestnut color, not really a hazelnut color, but a more of a chestnut, which can depend on the light and how it's shown.
