backaround=spin on knuckle so im assuming bak 1.5 does too
jus get an extra rotation in there
once again jus do it alot and wen u have enough experience im shur u ll be able to do it

The extra .5 can spin on the side of your index finger. I remember a upsb topic about multiple backarounds.

Mine spins either close to, or right on the knuckle of the Index finger. Others, like Kit-Cat, have the pen spin near the second joint of the Index finger.

Many ways of doing it. For a clearer view, watch nhk's cont bak 1.5 and david weis's cont bak 1.5. They should get you going.
The one done by nhk is a more common one. It should be easier for you to start off with.
For nhk's cont. 1.5, it should be around here:
http://www.geocities.jp/thetroposphere/videos.htmlFor David Weis cont. bak 1.5, check out
http://ps.davidweis.com/ and look under continuous section for "Fake Reverse 1&1/2 to Continuous BackAround1&1/2"

nhk is amazing. I actually get one bak 1.5 once in a while now.

thats the way i do mine so if u get it in the right spot with enough momentum u can do backaround like 5
same with shadows but thats a differnent topic :D

If you are doing the Fingerless IndexAround Reverse, a.k.a. the Korean BackAround, you might want to learn the Weissian BackAround. It's more difficult to do more spins on the Fingerless IndexAround Reverse.
In any case, just try to keep your hand tilted and balance the pen on the index finger or the knuckle before proceeding to the ending position. It should be able to execute more spins. Oh yeah, also, keep your index finger bent, though just a bit will do (as long as it's not straight).

Rockstargames - November 18, 2006 04:49 AM (GMT)
could you upload it to YouTube for me ? ..
Mats - November 18, 2006 05:10 AM (GMT)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0lE-RlPlrwTo do it:
Postition for normal BackAround.
Execute as you would for BackAround, but with slightly more force. To do more spins, use more force, however, the more force, the more spins you will be able to get, but the harder it will be to control
Keep the hand tilted when the pen goes on to the back of the hand, the pen will spin. When you see the pen has done it's spin...
Catch as normal.

anyone confirm mats vid correct cause it looks way differen't to cloud travellers cont midback 1.5
Mats - November 18, 2006 05:38 AM (GMT)
Mats' video = BackSpin 1.5
cloud travellers = cont midback 1.5
Of course they are different!

Mats' video is correct. :thumb:
You can check out the
first link on this pag to view a Bak 1.5 by
KiT-CaT, just for another view of the trick.
After applying the additional horizontal force, it's a matter of getting the pen to land on a spot of the hand to be able to rotate easily. I suggest trying to aim at getting the pen to rotate right on the Index knuckle at the base of the finger.
As you can see from KiT-CaT's video, he allows the pen to spin on the side of the Index. This is just fine for 1.5, but makes things harder for anything above that. Picking a single point to spin on is much easier when trying to attempt longer spins.

Don't use BackSpin just yet, as the BackSpin covers a wider area then what the current Multiple BackAround covers.
Mats' BackAround 1.5 appear different from mine, probably 'cause he does BackAround the 'Korean' way.
ShoeMan - November 18, 2006 05:25 PM (GMT)
when i do my bak 1.5 most of the spin is on the side of the index, not on the back of it..
i find it easier to control, catch and do cont bak 1.5..
i'm no expert though ^^
FallenSeraph - November 18, 2006 06:03 PM (GMT)
yea i do my 1.5 baks more on the side of teh index. lol copied off fingerpass =P
http://media.putfile.com/bak15sjeez they r so sloppy, i should practice them more. midbak 1.5s r taking up all my practice time >_< ognna take me FOREVER to perfect them
The King - December 27, 2006 07:21 AM (GMT)
Yeh i'm having trouble still. I can finally get the spin but then it spins off the side of my index finger! How to catch?
Hm i kinda got it,now i can catch in t1 but how would u catch in 12 for multiple?
ShoeMan - December 27, 2006 12:22 PM (GMT)
try to aim the pencil to go exacly into the position for another bak..
before you start you bak 1.5,, think about the part of the pen that is behind you fingers and aim your index finger to catch it after the spin.. it should bring you to a pposition for another bak

If you are going for 3+ spins, you are going to pretty much have to catch between any two fingers, whichever are most convenient, rather than in 12. Some of the time a catch in 12 just will not be possible.
Also, to get a heck load of spins, I find it best to screw the concept, multiple backaround, and go more for the concept of Fingerless Shadow. Execute a BakSpin as normal, but with more force, then straighten out your fingers as you tilt your hand/just after you tilt your hand. Let the pen spin like a shadow and catch. This way you will get more spins, and it also looks magical if you catch it in 34.

This is Off topic but I have allways wondered how bakaround 2.0 is...
is it like B-A 1,5 but instead of 0,5 spin on your side of index finger its 1spin or ist it just two a 2spin around the index finger?
