I sarted out with Chimchar...if you get him and a Machop, then you'll be set for a while. BTW: Make sure your Machop learns Foresight.

I chose Pochama even though it sucks, I only used it to play through the game. Hikozarou is the best of all the starters though, I use one on my competetive team.

Seriously though, I can't believe what PUSA did to her in the dub.. she's one of my favorite characters in the anime. :(
