Randomnewb for the smoothness win.

DaThroat - August 2, 2007 01:13 PM (GMT)
voted for TLD. though RandomNewb had 'smooth' stuff, it seems the angle wasn't that good and the circular motions of charge were not visible. this is crucial in my opinion of smoothness.

yeah TLD's counter and armroll looked cool too, but should practice better linkage eh?

TLDScorp - August 2, 2007 03:20 PM (GMT)
lol the arm roll was because yall said i couldnt do it again :P the linkage was hard cuz i wanted to put some dificult tricks in (neosonic 34-T!) (pass *above T*-34)

(Edit)
CODE
Sonic 34-23 > Inverse Sonic 23-12 Counter Counter ~> Shadow 13-23 ~> FL pass 23-12 ~> FL IndexAround > Pass Rev 12-23 > Neosonic 23-T1 > TF Charge Rev > FL Rev Ta (0.5) ~> Pass Rev T(ontop of T)-34 > Sonic 34-23 > Pass Rev 23-34 > NeoSonic 34-T1 > TF Charge Rev > Fl Rev Ta > Bak ~> FL pass 12-23 > Twisted Sonic 23-12 > Figure 8 > Carodid Release ~> Arm Roll ~> Arm Roll Rev ~> Catch 23

Put the wrong combo again >_< forgot a section (i wrote it down but i missed a line)

"Sonic 34-23 > Inverse Sonic 23-12 Counter Counter ~> Shadow 13-23 ~> FL pass 23-12 ~> FL IndexAround > Pass Rev 12-23 > Neosonic 23-T1 > TF Charge Rev > FL Rev Ta (0.5) ~> Pass Rev T(ontop of T)-34 > Sonic 34-23 > Pass Rev 23-34 > NeoSonic 34-T1 > TF Charge Rev > Fl Rev Ta > Bak ~> FL pass 12-23 > Pass Rev 23-12 > TA > Index Stall > Rev Pass 12-23 > Twisted Sonic 23-12 > Figure 8 > Carodid Release ~> Arm Roll ~> Arm Roll Rev ~> Catch 23 "

Voted for RandomNewb his combo was more smoother and I like his linking and eveything.

Zombo - August 2, 2007 03:53 PM (GMT)
tld was better, enjoyed more, definitively not a fluke.

random's combo was well... random. It had no beginning, no end, just an endless flurry of smoothly linked tricks. I couldn't see what the point of that combo was. It wasn't even properly framed (abrupt cut). Could be because he filmed a video until he dropped, then cut before that.

when you make a video, you want to have a little story, you want to show a feeling of change, of accomplishment. Either you have a constant progression throughout the combo, or you have a cycle, where you digress in the developement of the combo to come back to the beginning. (There are other "narrative plans" you can follow)

If you always stay static, it is very boring to watch.

i agree to TEH MAX!. :metal: :metal: :metal:

an ideal combo should start slow(some finger stuff), pick up until it reaches a climax or really cool trick(eg stall, weird triangle pass?), then end spectacularly(eg. aerial).

RandomNewb - August 3, 2007 09:15 AM (GMT)
Sorry about the cutoff, YouTube and Putfile do that.

And uh, just want to say about the story bullcrap that TLD's combo seemed random as well? Abrupt armroll?

But anyway, public voting and comments so say what you like. To me I think this is just a time to bash me. So, JEB JEB JEB! gg

DaThroat - August 3, 2007 10:50 AM (GMT)
i was merely trying to comment constructively.

seemed like i've PHAILED :banghead: :banghead:

if you really feel offended i apologize. :king:

there's nothing wrong being abrupt. You never read a story with unexpected events happening?

I thought it made a good ending.

Come on, man, nobody flamed you, just giving away constructive comments.

TLDScorp - August 3, 2007 02:49 PM (GMT)
lol i didnt think my combo was random :( i actualy sat down and wrote it out lol (for once). I was kinda thinking like DaThroat, sept kinda differnt, i started with some easy tricks, like sonic > Inv sonic (teh counters just made it look a little better :P) > then bust or something and then i get a little more difficultu doing 23-T1 Neosonic and then that wierd half RevTA pass to 34 adn then a 34 neosonic to t1. Then i got a little more difficult using the TA to index stall (which is hard in my opinion but may be easy for u), then i wanted to finish with an awsome move, whcih happened to be that TA to arm roll (the Figure 8 and wiper rev help me position TA releases better).

Although urs did seem a tad random, i liked urs too :P u seemed to be really good at smoothness, speed, and linkage (im working on all 3). All in all, i tried real hard on this combo hoping it would be good enough to beat urs so Good luck man :)

RandomNewb - August 3, 2007 06:15 PM (GMT)
Eh, well, I should have tried harder. 'Cause it took me 3 hours to film this and I really wanted to do something different, haha.

Good game though...

And yeah, we all thought that your arm rolls and random stalls were funny looking or else unplanned but, looks like it's going to be your signature move?

Teatime - August 4, 2007 12:04 AM (GMT)
The arm roll looked much more like a trick this time, rather then a fluke, which I really liked. It was very fast and smooth(unlike the rest of your combo ;P). If you had only worked a bit on the linkage on all those tricks before it would have looked better, since there was a point in the middle it almost seemed like you messed up.
Still, I found it much more interesting and cool, since like Zombo and the others said, Random's combo seemed like he just did a lot of tricks 'till he dropped, so it wasn't really interesting.

gizzardsmack - August 5, 2007 04:36 PM (GMT)
tld for creativity. or not creativity, but it was just a nice break from other videos that i see a lot

Flip - August 9, 2007 05:38 PM (GMT)
