How do you expect a ventrilo server to be running activly while there aren't even any people on the IRC server?

Ventrilo is a lot easier to figure out, while IRC might actually require more experience? I'm not sure. I prefer real-life talking over chatting, though.

Ventrilo is a lot easier to figure out, while IRC might actually require more experience? I'm not sure. I prefer real-life talking over chatting, though.

Real life talking is fun, i agree. I bet a lot of us know of vent servers that are always empty that we could use temporarily. I know of a few if anyone ever wants to talk. IMO skype isn't too good for many people. IF i ever get a job i want to buy a vent server for us to use.
On the topic of IRC, it would be nice if its existence could be more known, or something. maybe OP some people that are always inside for some control. put back trivia bots, etc.. restore it to the golden days :)
If needed i guess i could make a tut on how to use IRC or vent if people are interested.
