woot = "we own the other team"
Have none of you ever read Microsoft's 1337 Primer? It's a classic.

yea, but that's not how its used now.... its more like:
"MX's are better than Comssa's"
"woot"
or
"I just did a spread 122222"
"woot"
ShortAssassin - August 6, 2007 06:02 PM (GMT)
Hmm, in online gaming woot is more of a "yay" or "sweet" or "awesome".
woot I just finished quest x
woot I just got item x
woot, finally found people to do instance x

woot is like that cheering noise people make at hockey makes and shit. It sounds like it's spelt.
I didn't hear the 'we owned the other team' thing until like 4-5 years after woot was invented.
awkwardO7Z - August 7, 2007 12:22 AM (GMT)
Uh, i though woot originated from the game "dungeons and dragons" and when a play gets money, they tend to say, "what, i got the loot".
It was eventually shortened to "Woot".

The origin of 'woot' is controversial. Let's keep it at that.

It's a Boolean operator, and it's usually capitalized (AND).
