Title: Pain Around The Waist

zepiroth76 - August 6, 2007 07:33 PM (GMT)
I developed pain around the left side of my waist about 3 days ago from playing tennis and it has gotten worse.

What's a good way to get rid of this? Tryouts are in a week.

A good way, is to seek a doctor. :)

Your pants are probably too tight.

You're thrusting too hard.

oh wait you got it from tennis :P

Your obliques are probably weak(er) when compared to the rest of your muscles used to play tennis. The best suggestion: stop practicing until the day before tryouts. Your muscles should be given a full weak, or five days at the very earliest to recover before anymore strenuous activity; such as tennis.

Just give it some time. Take some tylenol. And let your left oblique heal before making that big serve again, okay?

Main thing --- don't over do it. You can get yourself seriously injured if you overwork muscles.
Example:
Time it takes for muscles to recover: 5-7 days.
Time it takes for muscles to heal after being pulled: 2-12 months (depending upon how badly the pull/strain is).

Play it safe, brah. And good luck at tryouts! :thumb:

I'm sure that would cause pain, but not in the waist.

UnEmploymentDude - August 7, 2007 02:44 AM (GMT)
My bad, I thought my connection fucked up.

zepiroth76 - August 7, 2007 02:46 AM (GMT)
That'd hurt my balls like a mother. I don't think it'd affect my waist.

UnEmploymentDude - August 7, 2007 05:12 AM (GMT)
Too much pressure, you should get rid of it, if you know what I mean ;)

Zombo - August 7, 2007 05:44 AM (GMT)
i think it's just a muscle pull. I had it once too, it just disappeared after a few days. Was incomfortable though. I thought I had kidney stones lol, but my friend told me it would hurt A LOT more if it was so.
