Title: Tutorial Tips

Teatime - August 7, 2007 02:19 PM (GMT)
Can anyone give me a few tips on how to do a spoken Tutorial? I find it kind of hard to talk to myself out loud, especially when it's not in my native language.
Thanks ahead :)

Watch Eso's tuts on Youtube. He's very casual in his speaking, but he explains everything about the trick indepth.

That doesn't help much SA, looking at someone else do the explaining doesn't make it easier for me :P I know the tricks and how to explain them, I'm just not used to talking to myself out loud :S

I wasn't telling you to watch them so you could learn the tricks, I was telling you to watch them so you could get an idea of how Eso talks. He's not overly formal or anything, it's like he's talking to his friend.

Still, it doesn't really help... I just kind of lose my words when I talk to air.

you got problems if you can't speak at all alone... i talk to myself all time when I'm debugging the !@#!@# piece of crap code or when it just doesn't want to work!

I can talk to myself alone, just not aloud, and constantly.

Well, I don't understand what help you are looking for. All you have to do if pretend you are talking to a friend.

Talk to your "Imaginary Friend" I don't see how this is hard though.... Although you could bring a friend over and make a tutorial that way to show common problems etc.
