Title: Rumble Game - Game On
Description: SIGN UP CLOSED
rookee - August 10, 2007 04:22 AM (GMT)
If you don't know how to play rumble read here:
http://kevan.org/rumble.cgi?genre=hero&mode=rulesIt's a fast paced forum game, and I think we could get 10 people in on a match this weekend.
So, what do ya say? Just post /In if you're in. If we can get 6 people, we'll start Friday.
Edit: I think I'm pushing this a little too fast, since it is a lot of your first games. I'll slow it down. I'll make the auction phase 2 days long, as well as all the action phases 2 days long. This should allow everyone to get acquainted with the rules and how the game works.
When I get enough people to start, I will be creating the abilities list, and you will all send the bids to me. As soon as I receive all bids I will post all winners, and post all ties(if any). I hope this goes smoothly.
In list:
Zombo - RickRollMan
Flip - pilF
JooJoo - Jor-El
Eburt - Obmoz
Nighteye90 - Nighteye
ShortAssassin - Jesus
CheeseLord - CheeseLord
nateiskewl - Spider Pig
strat1227 - Tarts
Name - Superhero

for the first game it's better for the mod to create all the powers, once everybody know what the game is about, we can let people submit their own.

For idiots like me who don't understand Strat's name, Tarts = Strat backwards.

SIGN UPS CLOSED - I AM NOW MAKING THE POWERS LIST.
Zombo - August 10, 2007 06:16 PM (GMT)
here's some details that are important but not inherently clear in the rules.
-Burn vs Spend: Spending means assigning some of your energy points for activating a power/attack/defense. The energy spent is replenished at the beginning of next round.
Burning refers to permanentely deducting a certain amount from your energy pool.
If you play MTG, spending is akin to tapping your land, burning is sacrificing your land.
-Bidding: all powers will be listed in the auction AT ONCE. You must then bid on the powers that you want. Not bidding is like bidding 0. You can only bid a cumulative total amount less than 100 (which is your total energy). In other words, you can't bid 99 on every power, win one of them and have your bids retracted all other auctions.
-Discard: At any time, you can choose discard one of your powers, unless stated otherwise. This may be useful if you want to stop the effects on a certain power that you own.
-Curses: These are powers with negative effects and cannot be discarded. They are won by the LOWEST bidder not the highest. You normally want to avoid them as much as possible by bidding high on them. Remember that not bidding is equal to bidding 0.
