When was it invented? And who invented it?

I'm curious.

Presently, there is no documentation to show who started the pen spinning phenomenon. However, it is understood that a Japanese pen spinner named Hideaki Kondoh was one of the earliest pen spinners to start a pen spinning website.

Oh, so how old is pen spinning? I feel offended when I see cup-stacking competitions on the news. It's so dull compared to pen spinning.

I think about 20 years ago or more, PS History in UPSB says so.

but my mom and her friend from taiwan knew TA and they're like 50

Well the creation of hedaki's site was the foundation of pen spinning as a MANIPULATION. rather than just a simple time killer in class.

My mom knew TA in the late 1970's/early 1980's.

I believe cavemen were much longer ago.

Seems like no one knows for sure. So...... 20+ years is what I'm getting right now.

its hard to know because the existence of boards and websites around psing cannot exactly define the beginning of it simply because the internet hasn't been around and accessible to everyone except in the past 10 years or so, the best we can do is guess because Im sure people were spinning before there were ever sites dedicated to the manipulation

How about all the main events? Set up the history in an easy to read chronological format.

Such as Hideaki's website opening, UPSB, PDS, collab release dates, when people started spamming certain tricks, etc.

just to add, Pen Spinning was not invented. i believe stick spinning is similar to pen spinning. it's possible to do to a pen what people do to a long stick or whatever.

If you think about that, Pen Spinning could have been found few hundred years ago or more.

Pen spinning was probably invented very shortly after the first pen was made. What is a better question perhaps, is when the term 'pen spinning' was coined?

I'm sure the whole writing utensil spinnig thing happened somewhere in china when some ninja guy got the idea to spin the small stick he was writing with. Or maybe it was back in ancient Egypt.
