FooKs judging:

Instead of using the system used in the world tournament i'm about to do in my own way.
I believe it's easier for the battlers to learn something when I, as a judge can point out bad and good things in the combos instead of just giving them a point.
First, I'll make a short summary. Then, go over to a longer one.

Hamors Breakdown:
Twisted sonic 23-12 -> rev inverse sonic 0.5 12-13 -> hybrid pass 13-34 -> ringaround -> sonic 34-23 -> twisted sonic 23-12 -> rev twisted sonic 12-23 -> pass 23-12 -> charge 12 -> hybrid pass rev 12-23 -> sonic 23-12 -> gunman -> rev tcharge t1 -> fl ta rev -> neobak 12-23 -> midbak 23-23 -> hybrid pass 23-34 -> pass 34-23 -> twisted sonic harmonic 23-23 -> twisted sonic 23-12 -> rev wiper > t1-23 -> sonic 23-12 -> shadow 12-23 -> inverse sonic 23-12 -> hybrid scissorspin 0.5 12-t1 -> fl ta rev -> midbak -> neobak 23-12

Firefaiths Breakdown:
Double charge 123 > Middlearound > Tipped Sonic 23 > Twisted Sonic 23-12 > Scissorspin 0.5 > Palmspin 0.5 12-34 > Sonic 34-23 > Twisted sonic 23-12 > Scissorspin 0.5 > Thumbaround > Thumbcharge > Rev Gunman T1-12 > Pass 12-23 > Pass 23-34 > Thumbaround

Hamor:

+ Variation
+ Speed

- Smoothnessen
- The stress

Firefaith:

+ Smoothness
+ Control

- Difficulty
- Length of the combo
- The finish

Hamor:
A very handsome video, but unfortunately you stressed through it a bit, and for that, your smoothness had to suffer. Once again you show off your knowledges in the midbak area, but overuses tricks like sonics and Twisted Sonics when they could've been replaced/linked with some arounds or else more advanced tricks. Your ringaround was pretty good, until you had fully completed it and had to stop before you continued with a sonic. If you'd've taken it a bit calmer your smoothness would've increased and your tiny stops disappear. And by time keeping the same speed you had in this combo.

Firefaith:
A not that impressive video. Your smoothness is great and so is your palmspin, but unfortunately palmspin has become a trick that is used to much and it also isn't that hard, so i'm not giving you extrapoints for that. Your Scissorspin > Fl ta is great and looks nice, But later it takes time for you to make a gunman t1-12 so instead of having little laggs in the combo, like Hamor had, you have one big. This could be avoided if you'd chosen to make Scissorspin -> fl tornado instead. Your finish: Reversed Fingerpass 12-34 > Ta, feels very easy and a bit boring like an ending. The finish is the most important part of a combo and must not be forgotten.

Winner is Hamor

I'd like to thank Firefaith for a great battle :)
Pls give comments on our vids.

Bbq Hamor, your best combo this far imo :DD A more than fair win too ^^

Teatime - August 20, 2007 02:01 PM (GMT)
If you ask me they both severely lacked variation...

Zombo - August 20, 2007 03:19 PM (GMT)
imo both weak videos, I thought firefaith video was a bit more interesting cuz it wasn't as repetitive as hamor, but the mistake at :05 kills him.

firefaith, you couldve pulled off a much better combo. this one was too short. the palmspin was very well executed though.
