My Computer > Click on the new external drive (your camera). The letter it gets will depend on how many drives you have. I have 2 hard drives, 2 disk drives, and a floppy drive and it shows up as G.
A is always floppy, C is first hard drive, D is usually a dik drive, ect.
Once you open the drive the video should be there, probably in mpeg-4 or avi format. Convert/edit it as you like.
Hope this helps.

You need a FireWire cable. It's one of the other ports in your camera I'm sure.
Zombo - August 21, 2007 02:31 AM (GMT)
you need to turn on your camera.
Zombo - August 21, 2007 02:32 AM (GMT)
oh, when filming, you need to push the red button to record.

Zombo - August 21, 2007 02:38 AM (GMT)
u said u could see other videos in your cam but not the ones you filmed. so it must mean you didnt film correctly.
nateiskewl - August 21, 2007 02:38 AM (GMT)
Most cameras WILL NOT send videos to a computer through a USB cable (mine only uses one for pics). You need a firefire. Trust me.

I have no idea what you mean... usp cables don't exist to my knowledge. I imagine you mean USB, but still... I can't see how this is that hard. Did you read the instructions? If you are still having trouble try googling the name of your camera and "video transfer to PC"
If that doesn't work then your SOL. Google knows all. Or try the manufacturer's website.
P.S. Nate, most camera will use USB. Yours must just suck.

No, it's actually very good. Off topic, sorry.
So what kind of camera are you having the trouble with...brand + model number would be nice.

Look under for the program Windows Movie Maker on your computer.
Then go into file and select capture or whatever.
Slitherzpin - August 21, 2007 03:08 AM (GMT)
it says that theres no device detected
nateiskewl - August 21, 2007 03:09 AM (GMT)
Try a different USB cable.
UnEmploymentDude - August 21, 2007 05:15 AM (GMT)
Change your mode to "Mass storage device" if possible.
And if you know the model number that would be helpful. Sony has made MANY MANY camcorder.
