Title: Hand Care - Dry Hands
Eso - August 22, 2007 06:21 PM (GMT)
I suffer from really dry hands; so dry that the skin looks ashy white. I use Jergens Ultra Healing lotion and I only apply it every time I wash my hands, so that equals to about 3-5 applications each day, minus the weekends.
What lotions do you guys recommend?
Do you also suffer from dry hands/skin?
How many times a day do you apply lotion?

ן myself don't suffer from dry hands, but I know that De'vo has made a small post about this subject at HL,, heres the link as I said I don't suffer from dry hands so I didn't try any of what he mentions and therefore I can't really validate it.. But I trust him so :P

i have sweaty palms but i put on lotion at night if my skin looks really dry

I also have dry hands but my biggest problem has always been the lotion. My hands would end up being too slippery to spin with for a few hours after I applied the lotion :\. I too would also appreciate any recommendations.

I used to have dry skin on my face and neck so bad, but it's starting to heal.

i usually don't have too much of a problem with dry hands at home except after a shower, washing the dishes, or any prolonged exposure to water (my hands are really fucked up and the skin's peeling :|). after those times i just use some weird lotion from walmart or something. most the time i just use water if it gets a little dry, or the lotion again if i can't move my hands without the skin hurting... i should probably see a doctor for this but whatever.

My doc told me it's not good to use lotions and such everyday on the skin, sometimes you must give the skin rest days.

I often get dry hands, especially my knuckles and the skin around my nails gets dry, but some hand lotion works good. I rub it into my hands for a minute or so and then I'm good to spin.

When I have dry hands, I wash them with some soap or use hand lotion.
It works good and I´m able to spin better then.

^same, unless I spin something not MX..Not sure if my hands are dry, but when I'm in a cold room, the tops of my hands look, ugh i don't know how to describe it, but they're like patchy i guess, and are really white, what is this?

I don't know, but mine get "patchy" too. They don't turn white though, more like a pale yellow.

Soap gets rid of all the oils on the skin, making it more slipperyish
I just work on a rubik's cube for about 5 solves, then I'm in perfect psing condition

When you use soaps regular to remove the oils, your body actually starts making more oils to make up for it, making your hand more oilish and less slippyish.
