Title: Shock Absorbtion

so i've been trying to formulate some sort of shock absorbing add on for mods (specifically the MX and variants) that will prevent breakage. so for example RSVP, the notorious screw-on back end part. i tried taking an old RSVP grip that got stretched out (although any grip would work) and cutting it up into little pieces. i stuffed one of the little pieces into the back cap that screws off. so i was wondering if you all think that it's a good shock absorbing technique to prevent RSVP's breaking all the time?

I remember Kam saying that he put teflon tape on the tip to absorb shock, maybe you could find some way to put it in the back.

practice is a good shock absorber. :D

but i dont think theres any really good way for the back of the pen...maybe some electrical tape?

i personally am not breaking my mods. i only broke one RSVP so far. i'm just trying to come up with a just-in-case for people who don't live in carpeted homes or have trouble not breaking their mods

Try and work something out with rubber. Obviously there are already grips on the MX but I suppose if you put more then it will prevent more shock.
On tennis racquets they have a piece of rubber on the strings to absorb shock so I suppose it will work somewhat the same for pens. :D

Do ps on carpeted areas or on some type of clothing, it lessens the noise of dropping it and prevents breakage.

I've only ever broken two MXs in my 1 3/4 years of pen spinning.
The first time was me accidently stepping on it
The second time was me breaking it on purpose
So I don't have that much of a problem.
