Title: Twisted Sonic
Eggy - April 21, 2006 06:13 PM (GMT)
Hello
Can someone show me Twisted sonic 12-23 .... is it like sonic 23-12 > half charge > pass rev?
I don't know but can someone tell me :)?
Yiep - April 21, 2006 06:22 PM (GMT)
I don't have a video, but the breakdown is Reverse Charge 12 > Pass 12-23.
Btw, it's called Reverse Twisted Sonic
Eggy - April 21, 2006 07:19 PM (GMT)
Is this ...? Right.
Twisted ... Sonic?
killsburydohboy - April 21, 2006 07:25 PM (GMT)
Yes, that a twisted sonic 23-12, but in your breakdown at the top you said twisted sonic 12-23, they are different tricks. Were you trying to do rev twisted sonic 12-23 or twisted sonic 23-12?
Eggy - April 21, 2006 07:26 PM (GMT)
twisted i think ^^ yea twisted
EDIT:
Oh, sry ... i meant 23-12

Aldmer - July 7, 2006 12:52 PM (GMT)
Tw. Sonic is Charge 23 -> pass 23-12^^
Eriror - July 7, 2006 12:55 PM (GMT)
Correction:
| CODE |
| Twisted Sonic 23-12 = Charge 23 --> Pass 23-12 Reverse |

a pass normal goes up the hand BEHIND your fingers
a pass reverse goes up the hand IN FRONT of your fingers

I'm not even sure if I'm doing twisted sonic right, because i have no clue which finger pass is reverse and which is regular, but I can do them both.
Oh well whatever im doing works well in combos |
point ur fingers at ur face. now when u do the pass, if the pen is going clockwise its a pass, if the pen is going ccw its a rev pass

To do twisted sonic, do a 23 charge, and halfway through pull your index finger toward you. Let the charge end in a position held between 1,2, and 3 with 2 on top. Finish the pass to 12. Now you have a twisted sonic.
By the way, any pass that goes the same direction as that is a reverse pass, and any pass the goes opposite is a normal pass.

You probably want to have a look at the
twisted sonic and warped sonic compilation vid thread by xz64.
Also, watch Kam's video
here in slow motion.
Edit: for good measure, you should probably also have a look at ChucKo's
Warped Sonic article so you can learn the Warped Sonic variations also.

I followed the tutorial for a twisted sonic(psconclave). However i think i'm doing inverse sonic. Can anyone explain the differences?
RippDrive - July 28, 2006 04:37 AM (GMT)
Inverse Sonic: Like a normal sonic but the pen passes in front of 2 rather than behind
Twisted Sonic: I basically think of these as fancy passes with a circular charge like motion. They do what a pass does, just better.
If your pen faces the same way after the trick you probably did an inverse sonic, if it faces the other way you probably did a twisted sonic.
Eburt - July 28, 2006 10:58 PM (GMT)
Also if the pen is parellel with 2 in your trick then its inverse, but if it goes perpendicular (when crossing 2) then its twisted...
The King - July 29, 2006 05:37 AM (GMT)
I can do inverse but not twisted someone help me with this?
Eburt - July 29, 2006 05:39 AM (GMT)
Can you do charge 23? Can you do Pass 23-12? Do the charge and then as the pen comes down let it fall into 12 and pass it, thats all a twisted sonic is, its really not hard... if you still can't get it I'll make a vid... and if you can't do said charge/pass then learn those first...
The King - July 29, 2006 05:41 AM (GMT)
I can do both but i don't get how you pass it if its already fallen into 12?
Eburt - July 29, 2006 05:43 AM (GMT)
its more of a fingerless pass, I'll make a vid and upload it in a few minutes...
Edit: Alright so the vid kinda sucks and its hard to tell what I'm doing... sorry... its the best I can do for now though, otherwise try PSConclave...

Twisted Sonic by NiffeUse Media Player Classic to view it in slow-motion.
Vercingetorix - July 30, 2006 07:57 AM (GMT)
for twisted sonic you start out with it in 23 and you do a charge normally but when 3 is higher than 2 in the charge you move 3 closer to 2 so some of 3 is actually on top of 2 and you bend down 1 at the same time so it hits the top of 1 near the second joint. then you move 1 backwards and you have it in 12. if you can do all that fluidly it should look good.

its reverse
and if the pen already lands in 12 then its a twisted snic, not a inverse sonic
RippDrive - July 30, 2006 09:46 PM (GMT)
Ok, if you can do a charge 23 start with doing that. Now keeping your index finger straight bring it inward while continueing to charge. The pen should go in between 12, then it's just a matter of letting go with 3.
assmonk3y - October 18, 2006 03:16 PM (GMT)
how do i do a twisted sonic? i wasnt really sure about the tutorial i saw at the wiki..
Toast - October 18, 2006 05:31 PM (GMT)
uh, do a chrage at 23 (even if its just one rotation, one is enough) then when the pen begins to fall down, bend your index foward, and the pen should land in 12, and at that point the rest of the momentum should help you comepltle a twisted sonic.

Ok guys.... I kinda accidentally stumbled on to a twisted sonic combo and i was wondering if it was named. It probably isnt but its a kinda obvious and natural combo so i thought it might be. It is a Twisted Sonic ---> Index Around
Heres a link: its not very clear.... a second one will hopefully be coming soon to help clarify
